The facilities are very good, it is a local villa area, very beautiful, the landlord is also very good, and provide a lot of help. The only thing that is not perfect is the 30 Singapore dollar sanitation fee, which is not cleaned. It is said that it will be cleaned only once in 7 days. We only live for three days. We do n’t have cleaning tools ourselves, which makes us unreasonable.

This was our temporary accom following the sale of our house and before our flight to Australia to start our new adventure. It was like a home away from home, with comfortable rooms, excellent facilities, washer and dryer, laundry rack. Love love love the pool! It was huge, my kids loved it. Love that they had bbq pits for us to book, and sufficient pool lounge seats and tables for family poolside gatherings. Easy access to the malls through a side gate so we could buy our groceries and food easily, including a pair of goggles 🤣. Village Residence Hougang is truly a hidden gem. Service was top notched, they changed our airport transfer to a bigger vehicle when we explained the huge number of luggage we had at no additional cost. And Vijay turned up early (6.30am) when their office only opens at 9am, to make sure we got our airport transfer on time. Excellent stay and highly recommend to others. Will definitely come back here when we return to SG. 😁

Had a staycay, Really happy with this place! In fact we extended one more night! Food options just at the mall beside. There’s macs, subway, some eateries, Starbucks etc. and ntuc! V convenient, esp if u are with kids. Love the pool here, there a 0.4m option, good for kids. Room might feel a tad bit dated and old, but it doesn’t quite bother me so much on the aesthetics. Tub is nice and clean, may be slightly small for some. I’m about 1.6m and I’m v comfortable with the length. Staff are generally accommodating and friendly. Lady at the check in on 11th mar helped with getting a room earlier as we happened to be there early. Cleaning staff on the 11th and 12th mar for level 13 was also v helpful and polite. Didn’t get their names! All in a very decent stay! Would be back!

Room is abit small but it is fine for a couple to stay in. Shopping Mall is just beside the hotel with access from hotel lobby. Did my wedding banquet at 21 On Rajah, fantastic service and amazing buffet line. All my guest loved the food and great variety.

Cleanliness in toilet is acceptable. No hair strand found, no insects detected as what the other reviews shown. Was almost perfect until there was obvious dust on the hanger. Crept me out bcuz it's really a whole chunk of it on the hanger. No plug in charger to charge my device close my bed which is a hassle. At the corner of room it was quite a quiet place of cos still able to hear walking steps, ppl talking but it was still bearable. Aircon is working well. Overall it was still a ok night out since I'm out for business trip. Just downstairs have alot of food stores even have convenient store a plus point.

Pros: Clean. Close to a small shopping mall. A bus stop just steps next to it. Kitchenette for simple cooking. Cons: No hairdryer, slippers, tissue paper. No lift, not recommended it you have big luggage. Praise to the hotel staff (the lady at the reception who I forgot to get her name) for her friendliness.

Simple no hassle and budget hotel, basic amenities are all available and well maintained. Service are really good from the front desk and the cleaning staff. The check in staff even allowed us to check in a little bit early since they had the room ready. The only thing lacking was window in my room, but then you won't be needing it since you will be out most of the day and only to go back to the hotel to rest. There is a hawker centre within walking distance and a couple of plazas with FairPrice and theater, so a lot of dining options, make sure to try the beancurd shop across the road. Transport might be a bit tricky if you're trying to use MRT directly but there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel that can take you whereever you need to get to.

Location was very good as it is in the middle of zhong shan mall and balestier plaza with many food options avaliable nearby. The hotel room was also better than expected , only negative would be that the toilet is a little small and the TV screen have some defect which makes it unable to watch. Overall it was a good stay and the service personnel are really kind and approachable, thumbs up 👍

We had a great time staying at the Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore during Christmas this year. We were warmly welcome by the staff during checkin. The staff was very friendly and even gave my baby a teddy bear as a welcoming gift. We stayed at the two bedrooms suite which was perfect for our family. We could prepare food for the baby in the kitchen and enjoyed dinner at the dinning room altogether. The location of the hotel is really convenience. It’s walkable distance to the infamous maxwell food center, the Chinatown and MRT station. The pick up spot for grab just right downstairs. We highly recommended this hotel. The buffet in the morning was really good. We stayed for 4 nights and the food were different almost everyday.

The hotel functions like a business hotel. Lack of warm hospitality that I witness in some other hotel chain. I was lost in the room as there were no communication as to what number to dial for conceirge. Only a number for housekeeping and they had to forward the call for me. When asked for late checkout, the answer was an unapologetic No. I guess the hotel has great business. And the bath was choked but they got it fixed. Plumber was fast and friendly but of course, it was still precious time wasted waiting for the bath to be fixed.

First time staying here since Covid. Check-in was fast. It was a self check-in system. Only thing is that they didnt accept contactless mode of payment for the hotel deposit. So i still had to proceed to the counter to complete my check-in as i did not have my physical credit card with me. Not an issue. There was a lift leading straight to the carpark. Very useful and helpful. Room size was acceptable. Not huge but not small either. There was a filtration system for drinking water. Therefore, no bottled water was provided. But then again, Singapore’s tap water is pretty much safe for drinking unless otherwise stated. Loved the rainshower in the room. I did not get the opportunity to try out the gym and the wellness services in the hotel. Will definitely find an opportunity to try them out someday.

I love how the hotel building is integrated with greeneries. Upon checking in, initially they gave us a wrong room. Called the concierge and they were able to send someone up with the new keys to the room! Shortly after checking in, the concierge called us to check in on us if everything is perfect, they also wished me on my anniversary and sent up a written card, a slice of cake and a box of chocolate! A few hours later we also called for extra pillows and toiletries, they were able to send it up quickly. The next morning we had buffet breakfast downstairs at the Lime restaurant. The spread was wide and we were spoilt for choices. Overall we had a really comfortable stay and the service is top notch! Everything is so well thought out. So if you’re thinking to book this hotel, think no more, just do it. You will not be disappointed :D 100/10 will come back again!

Cozy room, though the amenities are not new. We loved the pool and the bath tub in the Club Room. The pool is clean. The food is ok, even if the buffet area is a bit lacking in light. Same for the whole hotel, in general -- a bit lacking in brighter lights. The staff are friendly and accommodating, along with the convenient process of restocking supplies in the room. Overall, a convenient area, especially if you want to soak in the cultural offering of Tiong Bahru and River Valley area.

Convenient location near Outram metro station and China town. The free walking tour on Sundays is fantastic. All the food you get is also free which was a surprise. I thought the tour and guide was just the free part, so come with an empty stomach! Pool is very nice after a sweaty day in the city.

Booked an executive room and I was given a free upgrade to a premier room! The room had a great view of the city. Room was very clean and comfortable. Reception staff was professional and fulfilled my request for late check out at 1pm and to get a complimentary parking coupon. Housekeeping lady was very polite and cheerful. Overall a very wonderful staycation and I will definitely come again!

Booked the harbor view room for a short staycation. The room is not cheap but the view made it all worth it. It was raining the first day so we could not use the pool. But the second day, we were able to use the swimming pool. Location is very strategic. Plenty of shopping malls nearby and places of attraction were easily within walking distance.
