Special thanks to Hennessy and the team for making the birthday surprise for my boyfriend a great success! Very responsive to my emails to ensure that everything will go on smoothly. He love it!!! Totally excellent service! Thanks for the complimentary slice of cake after knowing its for birthday celebration, the cake is really nice! Specially arrange for room service , and it comes with a Polaroid picture! All day light refreshment and breakfast was great! The chef even specially cooked a plate of scramble egg when i was just inquiring where can i get black pepper and salt to add on to my ready made scramble egg. We enjoyed our stay alot with the sauna , pool and gym and of course the food. The only area of improvement was that the juices are too sweet. not sure if its suppose to be dilute further with water. will recommend friends inn the future! Thank you!

Location was perfect, surrounded by many eateries & malls and it's easily accessible by MRT. Swift check-in process greeted by friendly receptionist. Room is huge, clean and neat with some complimentary goodies and health care pack. Overall service level is efficient and closed to perfect except the staff at The Terrace. I was there waiting and the counter staff only approached me after the staff that preparing food alerts the counter staff for a few times. The 1st thing counter staff approached me was telling me to wait while she sending drinks to those dine-in guests. There are a few staff came in and out the counter in between but none actually assisted me or the other guest. I am fine with waiting but when she came back to the counter, she actually assisted a guest who came in last, which was after me and the other guest. I was kind of shock as she approached me first but left me continue waiting after she returned till she is done with the guest without a word.

The only downside is the hotel's entrance because if is your first time going there, it is going to be hard to find the entrance even though it is beside the mall, the hotel is actually not connected at all. Booked a deluxe room, it was very clean and spacious. Other than that, location of the hotel is very central, easy to access to most of the popular shopping areas and attractions. Varieties of food to choose from if you wish eat out. You can also request for pillow change if you are not the type that sleep well with the standard pillow. Food was great as well if you are dining in their restaurant be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Overall, will want to come back again to try out their room services.

We booked a Deluxe room with bathtub and the deal was complimentary breakfast for 2 and a complimentary bottle of champagne, without pool access. When we booked, the deal said multiple re-entries into the carpark, but upon check in, the staff told us that on their system the parking coupon is only valid for 1 entry and 1 exit. We asked him to check again but he just came back to us saying the same thing without any explanation… He also didn’t explain to us about how to redeem the complimentary bottle of champagne and booking of in-room breakfast. We asked another staff after checking in about the champagne redemption, she said it will be sent up to our room when we ask for it through front desk. However, it took almost an hour for the champagne to reach us, we had to give front desk another call to check if their had gotten our order… I had hoped that the hotel side could be more proactive in providing a better service for the customers. Before checking in we thought that we could only order in room breakfast set but upon calling the in-room service, the staff told us that we can actually eat at Asian Market Cafe or Prego. She suggested we can have a nice buffet breakfast at the AMC which we didn’t know beforehand… it’s nice of her to have told us that if not we wouldn’t have had the privilege to fully enjoy a buffet breakfast. Just hope that staffs can be more welcoming and warm in serving the customers be it locals or foreigners. Overall the room was awesome, we loved the view esp waking up with sunrise and the CBD skyline. Champagne was good, television has lots of channels to choose from, we brought our own switch to play games. Brought bubble bath salts to enjoy the bathtub, water was really HOT. 😆 Thank you for the stay, Fairmont!

Booked a 3D2N Deluxe Room stay with Carlton again because i was pleased with their service and room during my first stay. I was pleasantly greeted by Syafiq (hope i got his name correctly) at the reception counter and he started the day right for me. He had kindly upgraded me to a Premier Room and even sent a cake (it was moist and with the right level of sweetness, totally delicious!) to my room after i told him that we were there to celebrate our anniversary. He was also patient with me with my questions and requests. For that, i am really thankful for him that he made our day right! Throughout our stay, we made a few calls to the housekeeping and reception for some items to be delivered and they were delivered rather promptly, regardless of the time. The cleanliness although, could be improved as we saw some strands of hair on the towel and could feel sands on the carpet. Other than that, Carlton has provided yet another pleasant experience for us and we will definitely be back again!

Got ourselves a superior room, and check in was smooth. The staff were nice to prepare decorations & complimentary chocs for our celebration. Room was small, but clean. We requested for extra pillows our two nights stay & was happy to hear that the housekeeper would leave it in our room while we were out. We then left the hotel for dinner. To our horror, we found that the door was actually left ajar upon return. Quickly phoned the reception to explain our situation, but was answered with an apology and msg to be passed on to the housekeeper. Thankfully, our belongings were intact. What was upsetting was actually the way this situation was responded, and how casual this incident seemed to have been taken. A lapse of 5 hours might have meant a potential security and safety breach. If our personal items (laptop containing confidential client information got out), we would have been in serious trouble. Who would have expected such a serious lapse during our harmless stay at a 4* hotel. Felt absolutely horrified and decided to express my concerns to the receptionist. In our entire exchange, we felt the lack of assurance on our safety in any manner, but instead, was told that the team will be investigating this matter. Receptionist emphasized nothing else could be done at that juncture until a full investigation via the CCTV is done on the staff/mechanics of door. Which led us thinking.. Is there a proper protocol when such issues arise? Why are the technical issues brought up when guest’s safety is clearly at stake? Was it pertinent to resolve an issue at hand or to bring up technicalities which has got clearly nothing to do with us?Are we valued as guests & our concerns irrelevant? Were we wrong to feel unsafe after this? What we needed was a solution and remedy, not uncertainty. We felt unsafe and the thought of the possibility of losing our belongings due to the carelessness of your staff is unacceptable. The immediate concern would be checking on our belongings and not about noticing whether door was double locked. Unfortunately, seemed like the whole conversation was going nowhere. Receptionist only offered a change of room when we expressed how we were feeling beaten & unsafe. We decided to retreat to our room and was told that we would be updated of the investigation results the following day. Later that night, we were updated by the Recep on the folly by the housekeeper following the investigations. As a form of compensation, we were offered a complimentary breakfast & late check out (4pm). Our keycard was required to be updated for the late check out and we updated at the reception. However, on the day itself, when we returned from lunch at 1pm, the keycard didn’t work. We had to revisit the reception just to reactivate the keycard. Too much work for a complimentary extension. Breakfast selection was underwhelming. Thankfully, our second day went on without a hitch as we have never experienced such lapse in service even in lower rated hotels locally/overseas. Didn’t think my expectations for a basic level of service is unreasonable for a 4* hotel. I’m truly disappointed. In summary: Room amenities, as attached pictures, smart tv IS NOT smart, haven’t visited any hotel with electronics this backward in a while. Even with our HDMI cable connected to our laptop in hope of catching our desired shows, the error message was displayed constantly throughout after rounds of troubleshooting. The hair dryer was in such dire state, melted and with EXPOSED loose wires. Don’t think it would be difficult to have it replaced by a proper, working, & safer one? - General stay without club benefits would mean that you’re only limited to a small, uneventful pool next to a restaurant. NO access to the club pool which offers city views. Not too sure on the differing treatments. Carpark is not complimentary, do take note. - No amount of words would make up for the lack of assurance with the incident in place. No further comments.

We reached earlier than the check in time as we wanted to head to Suntec to have our lunch and get some snacks for the night 😇😇 though there was a queue, it was very fast moving and we were served by Kevin :) enjoyed the view for sure and remembered to buy and bring our bathbombs to soak for the night before we sleep!! Oh oh, and finally managed to wake up in time to head down to the pool where we were attended to by Kim! Thank you for making my birthday staycation so much better 🥳😉

Booked a staycay for my family - 2 rooms in total. Plus points: - Staff were courteous and patiently answered my questions. - Room was clean, good view of MBS. Bed was fluffy and comfy, had a good night's sleep. Air con temperature can be controlled and hence the room temperature was comfortable too. - Hotel prepared birthday cake. So nice! - Breakfast was good. Initially thought it was alacarte buffet, but it was a proper buffet, just that we tell the staff what we want and they pick up the amount for us. - Hotel linked to Marina Square! So convenient :) Not so good: - Reached at 2pm but waited till 4.30pm till our first room was ready (and waited till 5pm for the other room). Good thing was they gave us late check out at 2pm for both rooms. - Walls are slightly thin, could hear people dragging chairs / walking at night. - The water supply had issues on 17th Dec night, from 10.30pm-ish till 11.30pm-ish. Was bathing halfway and the water supply suddenly stopped (no water came out from all sources, be it tap, drinking water, bathtub, or shower area). Called the helpline and they said that they were aware of the issue and were fixing it. They also said they would call back when the supply was back. At 11.30pm-ish, water supply was back but no calls from the helpline (I suppose they are heavily understaffed). So we continued to bathe since it was already so late and one of us was halfway done with our bath. After bathing, when using the water at the basin for washup, we realised that the hot water supply was yellow, and the cold water supply was murky (can refer to photos). Called the helpline again and 30 minutes later, they picked up explaining that we should drain the water from all sources (basin/bathtub/shower) for at least 5 minutes before using them. We didn't know it before and we probably already bathed in the dirty murky water. 🤣 Before washing up at the basin, we drained the water for more than 5 minutes but it was still yellow/murky. So we gave up using the water and we just went to sleep. Luckily our skin did not (or have not) develop any rashes because of the water (and hopefully no one else's did, not sure if it was the whole building issue or just the rooms in the same column). Was originally looking forward to trying the bathtub too (even bought a bathbomb for it) but didn’t get to in the end due to the water issue. On 18th morning, the water was still slightly yellow and murky. And before checking out, the water supply seemed to flow slower again. - Though the water supply issue may be a once off thing, but wish there was better communication between stayers and staff, since this is a ‘green’ hotel and the only water available in the room are from the taps / drinking water tap, and the 1 hour water shortage may cause inconvenience.

Booked at deluxe room on a Thurs-Fri. Location (5/5): It was located in the CBD, near Amoy Street, Chinatown and Boat Quay (which I like) Service (5/5): You have 2 check-ins. One at the front of the hotel building (before you go in) to confirm your reservation and one in the lobby (at level 2) to sign forms, etc. Also, since this is during COVID, no visitors were allowed. The staff there were really nice and friendly, when assigned to serving you or not. 👍🏻 The check-in and tea ceremony process was smooth and easy. Room (5/5) + Cleanliness (4/5): Although there’s not much of a view except if you like looking at shop houses, work buildings and manulife haha, I enjoyed the room. Really hope I get the same room/better the next time I go there. It was clean and elegant. Major plus points for: the toilet, smart TV, drinkable water and complimentary snacks/drinks. Additionally, the staff is kind enough to deliver your food delivery items to your room 😊 The room was clean except, I found some hair behind the sofa left over from the previous person staying there. 😕 Amenities (5/5): I liked the pool 👍🏻 (capped at 8 pax per 1 hour slot), it’s view and the gym (capped at 10 pax). However, the pool could use some regular cleaning on the pool tiles and chairs, which had some dirt and green mold 😕(affecting cleanliness). I sincerely enjoyed my stay at The Clan. Thank you for your hard work. ☺️

Was a little disappointed even though as an IHG member I have been to several IHG properties. The grand deluxe room had space but the aircon was quite warm even though it was at 22 degrees. Had to bring it down to 18 for it to be comfortable. Hence, the sleep was bad throughout. There wasn't even any stationery in the room to take down any note. There's also a free flying insects that is always after the food we brought into the room.

overall was pleasant experience, my children love buds and splash, and hotel allow food delivery order just tat you need to collect from lobby by yourself. cons is every activities need to pre-book during this period, and it is so hard to control toddlers' rest time and caused us only hv 20 mins of splash time and missed out the swimming pool session. the pool side staff was nice to put us in next slot waiting list and only contacted us after 30 mins but we already on the way to do another activities. end up my children were playing in the bathtub instead, we were dismayed with the pre-book system that cant go play/swim anytime

The staff were exceptional and the hotel building is beautiful. There is a bit of walking to get to train station or bus stops and there is no shelter. The pool was a delight with the exception of avian visitors who take sips of water while you take dips in the water. Room was wonderful even tho the view was inwards , you still get natural sunlight and the room has everything you need. Brought a cable to plug my computer into the TV so I could play games and Netflix on the screen. Overall a great time.

Amara Singapore, Deluxe Room. All photos taken in the morning after check-in. After months of serving the nation, Amara Singapore has finally opened its doors to welcome leisure stays. No doubt that Amara was greatly missed; snaking queues for check-in were formed, with countless complaints. I was in awe how the Reception were visibly overwhelmed yet kept their composure, serving guest after guest, group after group. My wait was enjoyable with dinner and later drinks at Jigger & Pony. I finally settled in my room near 10pm, ending my night with a good soak in the tub. The room allocated to me was a good size, but desperately some refurbishment in terms of the toilet. Water pressure and heat were weaker than the other hotels. The water stopper in the tub was old and couldn't stop water flowing into the sewage totally. However the above did little to discount the comfort of the room. Clean sheets dressed the bed and visible hygiene was done right. As the Reception staff member thanked me for being patient and kind, his/her voice cracked and tears welled up in her eyes. It was the first, and only moment of respect that this staff member had been granted for the whole of yesterday's work shift. This encounter hit me close to the heart and I went to bed reeling from the heartwrenching realisation of mutual respect denied to front liners. We do get upset over the long queues and the service lapses, but please give credit when due. In the case of Amara Singapore, they were grossly overwhelmed and are already working shifts late into the nights as we sleep soundly. They are humans as well; and mutual respect is a prerequisite in any interaction. Be kind and you will be treated kind.

I had a 3D2N staycation with Yotel. When I came, there was quite a queue for check in (maybe because it was Deepavali) either ways some staff gave us bottled water while we were waiting so it was nice. When we got to check in it was pretty fast and we were blessed with the 29th floor. The room is modern designed and futuristic feel. It is an okay fit for two people however there’s a queen and a single as a bunk bed on top of the queen. (It would be quite a squeeze for 3 people in that room) the TV has basic cable channels of up to 70 channels with no Netflix and no YouTube. However, they do offer HDMI plug in beside your bed so it’s not too bad (just bring your own HDMI). The toilet offers a rain shower and I would like to say the soap was very nice smelling and good. The shower temperature control was good and the toilet comes with a bidet. The sink is outside beside your bed..which is not my thing but it was okay. They also would like some basic items like hair dryer, ironing board, water boiler some tea and coffee.. please stop using Dilmah tea it sucks…no microwave etc nothing crazy. All in all, i have enjoyed my stay there and looking forward for another stay with them.

Took a short staycay at Parkroyal Collection Pickering Hotel to relax and enjoy after grabbing a wonderful deal on Trip.com 2 months ago on a Buy-1-Night-Get-1-Night-Free offer. Booking an Urban Room initially, some online reviews had mentioned a cost saving upgrade, upon confirmation a request was sent direct to the hotel, not Trip.com, to request to pay for an upgrade to the Lifestyle Room. This was definitely a Good Tip as this was a much cheaper option than booking a Lifestyle Room outright. The Lifestyle Rooms are the only rooms in the hotel with a bathtub, so it was a much sought after room type even though such rooms only come with King-sized beds. With a double-blind system, one gets to have some privacy while enjoying a soak next to the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room and bathroom. The bathtub has a gentle slope at the back and is spacious enough for a huge person like me. A pillow made from rolling the towels will give a better head support while in the tub. There are pillow selections for those who wish to have special types of pillow. Personally, the latex pillow on the Pillow Menu gave a much better rest support than the already in room pillows. The HDMI panels in many of the rooms are faulty so for those who wish to bring their own laptops to plug in the HDMI for linking to the SmartTV screens in the rooms, you may wish to drop the idea, otherwise bring a cable that is at least 10metres long so that your laptop may stay on the work desk and be able to directly connect to the back of the TV. The pool at Level 5 was of the Infinity Pool style and the smaller pool at the end is a jacuzzi pool that was missed by many thinking it is just a smaller pool for more privacy. Part of the reason for this is also because the button to activate the Jacuzzi was not immediately obvious as it is positioned next to the Hotel Spa entrance, about 5 metres away from the pool. The pool water for both pools though was really really cold. Just off the edge of the Infinity Pool, about half a floor down, is the Garden Walk area for Hotel Guests to enjoy the garden, so please don't splash water out of the Infinity Pool. Breakfast was part of the package that was bought and it was pretty standard hotel international buffet fare. Found it so so and not really fantastic, well except for the Nasi Lemak. Otherwise, you are not missing much skipping the hotel breakfast as there are tons of other food options nearby such as the Hong Lim Hawker Centre just next door. This was definitely one of the best hotel staycation enjoyed and worth a return. Alas, this hotel is perennially expensive so good deals such as that which brought about this staycation are now no more with the reopening of the nation.

Overall location, cleanliness, facilities and service are above standard. However, the sound insulation is poor in the room I stayed in - 0705. I could hear the motorbike from the road and other guests chatting along the corridor. It could be an issue for light sleepers.

1. Front desk very friendly during check-in and our stay. 2. Hotel provide complimentary parking too! Its really convenience for us. I think only once a day per ticket. 3. The room FAB! I love the view but I prefer Marina side view than arab street? The hotel give us high floor. 4. But, when I entered the room and I open the closet. It have sweat smell maybe because of the previous guest before us. But I called for services and they came to spray the room. 5. Then, there a soap had been used that fall below the counter in the toilet & I think the housekeeping didn’t see and didn’t cleaned it up. But I can see the soap when Im taking shower. 6. There’s also a 2 bottles of water that have been drinking and left inside the freezer and they never took it out. 7. The pool huge! With majestic view of Marina and sea.. So far, Im good with everything! Thanks !

Remember to request for a toothbrush set at check-in. This isn’t automatically prepared in the room for you. Rooms are decent, and IG friendly but without a TV, it feels more like a hostel than a hotel. The shared fridge doesn’t seem hygienic, and the cups provided were stained. If you look at the ceiling, it’s stained too and shows signs of ageing. There’s a lack of customer service here without a phone in the room.
