Marina Bay Singapore|1.53km from downtownWe booked a Deluxe room with bathtub and the deal was complimentary breakfast for 2 and a complimentary bottle of champagne, without pool access. When we booked, the deal said multiple re-entries into the carpark, but upon check in, the staff told us that on their system the parking coupon is only valid for 1 entry and 1 exit. We asked him to check again but he just came back to us saying the same thing without any explanation… He also didn’t explain to us about how to redeem the complimentary bottle of champagne and booking of in-room breakfast.
We asked another staff after checking in about the champagne redemption, she said it will be sent up to our room when we ask for it through front desk. However, it took almost an hour for the champagne to reach us, we had to give front desk another call to check if their had gotten our order… I had hoped that the hotel side could be more proactive in providing a better service for the customers.
Before checking in we thought that we could only order in room breakfast set but upon calling the in-room service, the staff told us that we can actually eat at Asian Market Cafe or Prego. She suggested we can have a nice buffet breakfast at the AMC which we didn’t know beforehand… it’s nice of her to have told us that if not we wouldn’t have had the privilege to fully enjoy a buffet breakfast. Just hope that staffs can be more welcoming and warm in serving the customers be it locals or foreigners.
Overall the room was awesome, we loved the view esp waking up with sunrise and the CBD skyline. Champagne was good, television has lots of channels to choose from, we brought our own switch to play games. Brought bubble bath salts to enjoy the bathtub, water was really HOT. 😆 Thank you for the stay, Fairmont!
