Shilin Night Market Taipei|4.49km from downtown

Though it's a historic building, the hotel is beautifully maintained and exudes a majestic charm. I loved finding historical pieces and displays around every corner. We stayed for three nights in two different rooms. The first was an economy room, which offered great value with all essentials provided, even a small bathtub, although it lacked windows. The second room was incredibly spacious, featuring a large balcony with views of lush greenery. The location, perched on a hill, might not be the most convenient, but the hotel provides frequent shuttle buses to Jian Tan station (near Shilin Market) and Yuan Shan. The shuttle ride takes about 10 minutes. On our last day, I bought their delicious winter melon cubes, which are amazing when steeped in Oolong tea—simply heavenly! Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I’d gladly return.

This is one of my favorite hotel during the trip. The boss is very kind and helpful, his staffs as well. I would stay more next time. Near train and really convenient for everything. Thanks Ben, Paul, Eric at reception for all the support. Worth any penny! Photo is not related as I forgot to take pics.

There are two buildings and the one on Google is the one for more than one person's rooms. I wish it was an information I got before arriving so I didn't have to walk around, even though both are really close by. The other building only has a Chinese name on Google map - 西門星辰精典大飯店. Apart from that, my stay was very good! Room is nice, I didn't use the TV so I don't know about its quality. Aircon works wonder and the shower's pressure is top tier ! 🤣 We also got free hot drinks and I do love my hot chocolate from time to time. 😌 Window is useless though, it feels like you don't have one. Location is perfect. Not too far from the subway and some bus stops.

A great value hotel with everything you need in a great location. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The shower works well. Stag are friendly and helpful and the location is in the heart of Ximen. The decor is a little dated and there were no windows in the room but if you just need a place to stay and aren’t fussed about beauty then this is a perfect choice!
