Pudong International Airport Area Shanghai|32.84km from downtown
I had to stay a night at the Pudong airport as I missed my flight connection. This hotel is located right between Terminal 1 and 2, and also where the subway station is. It only takes around 5 minutes to reach the hotel from Terminal 2 and the price is reasonable. The room is not so big but the beds are comfortable and they provide basic amenities. There is also a food court really closeby with a good selection of Chinese food. Besides there is a convenience store and McDonald’s nearby that are quite handy. Would recommend for overnight transit travellers.

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

Hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant experience. We were greeted with a cake to congratulate us on our wedding. And in the evening we were surprised with chocolates and roses in our room. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you! Location is one of the key selling points of the hotel. It is location in the buzzing part of the East Nanjing Road. How to get there via Metro: Go to East Nanjing Road Station from Line 2 and then get off from exit 1. Then take a right turn and go straight ahead and the hotel will be on your left - nearby KFC. Breakfast spread is really good and it is another reason why you should choose this hotel over other 4 or 5 star hotels nearby. While the hotel does need a makeover, it's current amenities are okay. Sound insulation is not up to par with other newer hotels. Nearby attractions are the bund, Madamme Tussauds to name a few. Please choose this over Radisson Blu and other similarly priced 4-star and 5-star hotels

A really pleasant experience altogether, the room is clean, service is excellent. They always smiling and patient with customers, they’ll offer you a cup of coffee or a bottle of water whenever you’re waiting for a taxi at the lobby. From the hotel to downtown I usually pay like 50 rmb.
