The hotel riverside scenery is very good, clean and hygienic, the room is large, the waiter attitude is good, but unfortunately did not encounter Chinese speaking, breakfast is Western but average, location is close to the city but you dare to go out by car, there is Uber in the local area

I stayed at Bamburi Beach Hotel for two weeks and whilst all staff were friendly and helpful the whole hotel is in dire need of a complete refurbishment, plus there are some serious issues with the fabric of the building posing a threat to health & safety. We arrived in the early hours and was met by Matthew and given something to eat and drink. My friend wasn’t able to get into her room as the key did not work and was moved to another room. I had read the reviews on Trip Advisor so I wasn’t expecting a luxurious room but I wasn’t expecting it to be so shabby. Taps and shower-head were full of limescale, with the tap on the shower coming out of its seating. I had to move room the day after arrival due to patio doors not locking, phone not working, AC having no remote control, no plug in sink e.t.c. The safe’s are analogue, I wouldn’t say they were that secure and are in open view. There are no cupboards for your clothes and belongings, just open shelves. The fridge in mine and my friend’s room were very old a noisy. The bed is hard and so are the pillows. The towels are old and tattered and not very clean despite requesting fresh ones daily.. The whole room is dimly lit, with big gaps under the entry door allowing insects and mosquitoes to get in easily. There are no mosquito nets and rooms are not sprayed so please ensure you take an insect repellent plug with you. My friend moved rooms three times. She had water ingress on the ceiling and after it rained she noticed water dripping from the ceiling, while the hotel tried to fix this, the water got into the electrics which plunged her room into complete darkness when she switched the light on when we came back from an evening out. On the day I checked out I had no cold water, and couldn’t shower in my room. Lots of water was pouring from the one above me, which was my friend’s old room ! The hairdresser and spa at the hotel is closed and doesn’t look like it’s been in use for a very long time and the main restaurant is very hot with only a few ceiling fans, so it can be unpleasant to eat in there. The food is quite bland and repetitive and the wait to get an omelette or fried egg can be significant, you can’t help yourself to fried bacon and no scrambled eggs are on offer. We ended up going to Yuls next door and paid for some decent food and wished we had found it earlier. Another issue we had during our first week was the very large delegation from Nairobi (over 60) who stayed at the hotel for a full five days and dominated the hotel. That amount of people all going to breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same time doesn’t work. We tried to get something to eat at 2.00pm and there was no food left. This delegation were allowed to play water volleyball for 2.5 hours and were noisy, with no consideration for other guests. Their team building exercise on the beach ruined any peace and quiet and disrupted people watching, as well as trade for the beach operatives. Whilst I appreciate that the

Ive stayed for 7nights at Sai rock and tonsay the most, it was not what i expected. I come to msa every 6 weeks for work and stay in average hotels on B/B and enjoy the service. What i chooose to give feedback on; Not worth the money we paid for Wifi that doea not work. Like seriously, isnt that the bare minimum a hotel can offer WIFI? couldnt use my laptop for a whole week cz wifi couldnt work in the room. So i came back with soo much workload that i could have done then. So INCONVINIENCE!! Breakfast was always cold. I was attending a conference at a nearby hotel so i was taking breakfast daily at round 7-7:30 latest except my last Day. And it was always cold. i mean how bad can it get surely. Some day even the tea was cold i never complained cz i was too tired already so i went served tamarind juice which i dont. Im a chai person but aarrgghh House keeping- water at the hotel is too salty i mean its just extra salty IDK why. So 2 consecutive days they dont replace the shower gel cz i prefer it to the soap since il lathers easily so 3rd day i write a note saying “please replace shower gel today you havent done so past 2 days” guess what -whoever he/she is comes cleans, picks the note and adds the soaps. No shower gel day 3. On 4th day is when i found 2 again. But again, i was too tired to complain cz thats just nonsense! Ironbox - Its good for a hotel to know that its the little things. I borrow an ironbox by calling the reception at around 7 the lady said it will be brought to the room. I wait and since i was getting late for work i decide to go get it. At the reception ahw says housekeeping hajafika wakifika wataleta. I mean im getting late my friend so i waitnfor housekeeping? I had a white shirt to iron so i waited. Few min its brought to the room and i take out like 5garments that needed ironing and ironed. Here is where its at. 25min ironing someone knocks my door a gentleman “dada waweza kuwa umemalozia pasi”.OMG!!! I honestly asked him does this hotel have one ironbox really? The worst that could haopen is i leave it in the room instead of handling Over at the reception but housekeeping would have come and found it jameni🤦‍♀️ The guy had to stand and wait till i finiah ironing and take the ironbox with him. But that was pathetic really inconvinience. First i wait to get it then someone stands out to waitnfor me to finish? HYGiene- bathroom walls were dirty not scrubbed at all. Also im back with a loss since housekeeping decided to throw away all my ETR receipts of my expenditure that i had well placed in a drawer. That drawer had a paper written the wifi password and also a box for my face soap and that was left untouched. I had these stack of receipts i folded and kept there to be re imbursed by accounts later. Around 6k worth of receips ive lost the money cz someone thought i missed the bin below the table and my shallow brain did not know what it was 🤦‍♀️doing placing them nicely folded im a drawer. Im beyond words for my

Wow! Been many years since I was last in Coast. Nai is madness tu.. A relatively small modest hotel offering excellence in every sense of the word. Was here 3 nights. Weather was...melting.. Room 104 had everything however the double bed service was slightly challenging due to the permanent headboard. Internet was excellent. Best I've experienced away from home. The room attendants are neat freaks lol. The rooms were super clean beyond! The food was exemplary. Though I really wanted to try the mutton which was unavailable. Also I noticed there was no ice cream, creamed cake etc, sea food etc. Kindly look into it this... Though my sis grew super fat with no regrets! Also the drinks...unfortunately the mixologist was on leave. No reliever hence my sis didn't even have any special drinks ie cocktails. Needless to say I personally totally enjoyed and drank all their Whitecap lol. I was in love with Harriet. Alinikataa woishe lol. Hit me up whenever in Nai. Niko Soko juu yako. Rose, Pamela, James, Jackline, Juma...aki it felt like they had specifically planned for us to have the dreamiest of vacays. And Indeed we did! They all deserve all the credit and optimal recognition for going the extra mile by providing the most impeccable services ever! Asanteni Sana wadau. We were even forced to extend our stay by a day and were AGAIN even tempted to extend by another day but I had already booked our return flight! As I write this we are checking out...feels like we are attending a burial lol. We are distraught we both even jumped into the pool afew hours to our departure just to relive due moment! We shall deeply miss you guys and everything about this outstanding hotel. I'll miss Harriet the most..aki she's gorgeous lol. Seeing her beauty made me not leave the hotel ata lol. Rose and Pamela and Jumah are so very friendly. One would even think they are also on vacation lol. Kwanza Juma! Too many stories of his pool and what it takes to keeping it sparkling...and believe me it was heh! Well in bro.. We shall miss Rose dearly. Aki she's all over the place! James and Jackline assisted so much with check-in/out/settling in...no discount though aki... To the manager...I need a discount before I leave lol. I revamped your bar business. Security was very friendly and top notch. All in all, it was magical. We'll miss you but we promise we'll be back. Keep up the brilliant work. Much appreciated for everything once again. Jah Bless.
