Heard a lot about this 5***** hotel, so I booked it for the covinient from the bus from hk airport. Not very impressed and certainly doesn't meet the standard of a 5***** it once was. The room is stuffy and a bit of damp smell, although it's a non- smoker room, I paid 66£ for a night, and I requested to place me in a quiet area, so they upgraded me from the 5th floor which was above the Karaoke, to the 15th floor. Nice view of the west lake. The room is big enough but decoration is old, needs future renovation as I wouldn't stay there next time and there are better hotels out there in the area. However, the staff are very attentive and super friendly, after checking out, a young male asked how was my stay, and i said it was OK, it smells musky in the room, he apologised and gave me a goody bag with sweets and a cute stuff toy.

Booked a cityciew room but upgraded to a riverview one, astonished. The view is absolutely amazing day and night. Everything seems fair for the price, cannot expect much from it. I did hear some noise coming from below tho, there is a pub downstairs, you need to be aware of that if you are light sleepers. Well, at least earbuds are provided. Did not try their breakfast so I cannot comment on that. In case you miss the time, there are plenty of local options around. For foreigners, I suggest you have a translator with you because I don't think it is an English friendly hotel.

The second stay, the location is in the freshwater business district, the breakfast window is facing the business district, the breakfast type is enough, the taste is very good, you can also cook your own powder. There is welcome fruit in the house. The elderly need to refrigerate drugs and the room also has a refrigerator. Downstairs is the shopping mall, snack street, shopping and eating are very convenient Take a taxi to Huiyang Station for 12 yuan. Will choose here next time!

I added their contact via WeChat immediately after the booking. Communication (in mandarin) was smooth n responsive. Great customer service provided with clear instructions on check in/out procedures. Adhoc request via WeChat after check in was attended to quite swiftly too. Will definitely book them again.
