Zhongshan Road and Ferry Area Xiamen|3.31km from downtown
The first hotel we stayed at during our weekend trip was so terrible that we immediately rebooked and chose Niaodao the same evening. The next morning, the guesthouse staff called me to confirm the booking. From the moment I booked until I checked out, the service was truly impeccable. The staff were all incredibly friendly and provided many helpful travel tips.
The room was a sea-view room with a fantastic view of Gulangyu Island, and given its orientation, you could even catch the sunset. It was spacious, cozy, and very comfortable – truly satisfying. Its location is excellent, right at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and close to the ferry terminal, making it very convenient for taxis as well.
The guesthouse has been around for a while, so there was some minor peeling paint on the walls. It wasn't very noticeable unless you looked closely, but a fresh coat of paint would definitely freshen it up. Being so close to the sea, the bedsheets felt a bit damp when we returned in the evening, but it was manageable with the air conditioning running constantly. In summer, there are quite a few insects, so some attention to pest control would be beneficial.FromSGD 68

The hotel was fantastic! It's conveniently located very close to Zhongshan Road, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We originally only booked for one night, but we had such a great experience that we extended our stay for another two days. Highly, highly recommend! I had a pleasant stay at Xiamen Yong Li Da Garden Hotel. The location is very convenient — surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. It made getting around the city easy and stress-free.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A great choice for both business and leisure travelers. I would definitely stay here again!FromSGD 51

Choosing Ruiyi for our 3-day, 2-night trip to Xiamen was absolutely the right decision.
1. **Location:** The hotel boasts an excellent location, being very close to Ba Shi Market and Zhongshan Road. It offers direct sea views of Gulangyu Island and is just a 10-minute walk to the subway station.
2. **Rooms:** Our 50 sqm room was spacious and thoughtfully designed with clearly defined areas. The facilities were new, comprehensive, and well-maintained – thankfully, none of the issues rumored online were present.
3. **Service:** The service was top-notch. Upon check-in, a lovely staff member guided us to our room and ensured everything was to our liking, making us feel completely at home. Late one night, returning to the hotel, I saw a manager diligently checking room cards in the elevator – this attention to detail truly made us feel secure. And upon departure, a kind staff member at the entrance helped load our luggage into the car, a thoughtful touch that was much appreciated.
While our overall travel experience in Xiamen wasn't extraordinary, the hotel truly exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend Ruiyi Grand Hotel to everyone I know.FromSGD 108
