The entire hotel is like a historical museum, with many old objects inside. There is free afternoon tea and Indonesian traditional snacks after 4 pm. The front desk staff is also very friendly, but I don’t know why I ordered the Executive Suite instead of giving it to me. The one I chose was Superior Deluxe because we were going to Bromo Volcano at 12am the next day and only stayed for a few hours. Generally speaking, it is worth recommending.FromSGD 97

One of the best hotel in hospitlity industry.. It was nice 2 days stayed here..at 101 Hotel Malang Oj. Since 2018 ,101 is the first hotel on my list. I visited Malang because my daughter studied at Brawijaya University.location near the center of the town,nice clean room and comfort with the view of mount Arjuna.I love it. Thanks to the staff who worked here,Erwin,Wulan Nafisa,Amanda ,Rully ,and Ravin etc,for apl the attention and services,and the surprise for me and my family. I believed this hotel will be doing great and successin the future.FromSGD 34

If you'd like a hotel with a view in Malang, and centrally located inside the city, this is the hotel for you. It gives me a great value for the money. I stayed at standard twin bed room with a balcony with mountain view. The location is superb. I can walk 10-15 minutes to Kawi Street, where many restaurants located. However, a few things that can be improved. I went to the gym at 6 am, and no one there. However, AC wasn't turned on. So, after 20 minutes of intense workouts, you'll be drenched with sweat. No towel inside the gym was available. Bring your own from your room and bottle water as well. Maintenance and house keeping can be improved. I visited my sister who stayed on the 7th fl executive suite, and there was a hole in the curtain. And the room could use more deep cleaning. The bed sheets in my room can be replaced with the one without hole in it. With the years, some of the amenities could be replaced.FromSGD 36

Stay 1 night with 2 room booked.
Location is strategic,near to everywhere,behind the trans shopping mall,but room space quite small and quite old furniture.
Swimming pool is great and clean.
Reception staff was nice n good hospitality and not forget to mention that rest room is very clean.

I stayed for one night. It’s not far from train station, less than 20 minutes walk. The hotel allowed me to check-in earlier despite no personal request when booking. I booked the cheapest rate without breakfast because I didn’t know what they offer for breakfast during these times. One thing I remember the most is that the towel and linen smelled nice, I think it’s jasmine. Amenities were enough, including slippers. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Luggage rack and door handle were not in a good condition (screws were loose), and the safe box was locked, I couldn’t use it. Hotel played instrumental musics on speakers, but it’s quite disturbing when it’s 10pm and you could hear it from the room. Cleanliness need to be improved. I found the dirts from previous guest under the bed frame, and public restroom on lobby wasn’t clean enough. Receptionists were ok, I didn’t interact with other staffs. I don’t mind staying here again.FromSGD 30

When it comes to hospitality industry, excellence in every service aspects is no compromise. Although MaxOne Ascent Malang positioned itself as a budget hotel, it should not sacrifice anything on their line of service. Unfortunately, I don't find this hotel ...worth to stay for second time. When I first enter the premise from back door adjacent to parking lot, I found the atmosphere a bit shabby and gloomy. I went to receptionist for check-in, friendly and smooth service. When I entered my room, I noticed that the room wall is dirty and aged. I went to bathroom, I found some hair around shower floor drain. And when I use shower to bath, the floor drain is a bit clogged so the water didn't drain properly. I opened toilet to pee and I found there still some ”dirt” left on the toilet bowl. I do hope that there will improvement in overall experience with MaxOne Ascent Malang.FromSGD 27

I checked in at 1 wib in the morning and was directly served well by the staff who looked fresh and friendly even though it was still in the morning. The room is although more narrow than Amaris in other cities (Ex: Jakarta and Bandung) but it's not a problem. The breakfast available varied Amaris typical and tastes quite good. The location is also on the main road of Malang city, even though it is quite far to the main square. What I like from Amaris Malang City, the water coming out in the shower is very loud so it's like the body's being a muscle flexed and the hotel's view north offers a beautiful mountain viewFromSGD 25

First reach the hotel you will see classic European architectural style, feel like in a european style palace. one of the cheapest hotels that provide bathtub in Malang starts its lowest class. spacious room, very comfortable to rest because it is quite quiet. the facilities provided are also quite complete from toiletries, safe, refrigerator and hairdryer. the staff is friendly and very helpful, I am grateful to be able to early checkin in advance. the price of food in hotel standard restaurant but taste good. The hotel also sells bread and ice cream at affordable prices. the lights in the room are quite dim, very suitable for you who need to maximize relax and rest. the downside is if you bring a motor or will rent a motorbike and stay, the motor parking location is not convenient. overall i am satisfied with this hotelFromSGD 23
