Took the family room, 2 king size bed is great for the family! Theres sufficient space for a play area. Thoughtful as most furniture had round corners. There’s a bathtub. Kids enjoyed the pool too. There is a linkage from convention 7th floor to the mall if you prefer to walk indoors. Overall love the location and will likely be back to this hotel when visiting Bangkok.

I stayed for a total of 10 nights in July 2022, split into 2 bookings to take advantage of a Master card promotion with Trip.com Below is my detail review of my challenging stay. 12/7/22 Tue @ 2330: Rm 1714 when I used the room key to open, the green light came on but impossible for me to push it open. This happened a few times before I could open the door. 13/7/22 Wed 2:25AM, electricity supply cut off suddenly when I'm still awake! I pull out room card & push it back without getting electricity back. Used room phone to call the ”Concergie” with no one picked up. (”No phone button labelled as ”Reception”) Same with calling ”House Keeping”. So I went down to Reception to report the incident. When I came back into the room, electricity was back when I put room card into the socket. 13/7/2022 Wed 6.15AM: I was waken by the sound of what seemed to be a mobile phone's ”Vibration Mode”. Then I find the electricty supply was already off again. So I cannot even guess when it was cut off the second time. Then the electricity came back 1-2 minutes later. I used the room phone immediately to alert them I need to change the room. Guess what? Room phone is dead. Go down during business hours to alert them I NEED to change tge Room 1714. Moved into Rm 1615 with other issues: Toiket does not flush properly. You need to press multple times consecutively to clear your big business done. Also the water flow & tempetature is even lower than those of the Room 1714! Ask for a change if room but send someone to fix the issues. Both slightly improrved. In both rooms, the wifi speed has much room to improve. I have frequent YouTube videos jerks & stop working when I go back to a segment to watch that part again. Calling either the Housekeeoing & the reception (by dialling 0) / Concergie, I have much difficulty (with no more than a 30% success rate) of having answered even calling them during 9am -5pm. I stayed happily at Novotel Nathan Rd Kowloon, Hong Kong (now the whole building was demolished) for 14 months in 2020-2021. This Novotel Silom Rd must be the bottom one out of the few Novotels in Bangkok. They served me torn shower mat twice (see photo) & the Room 1714's hand basin even has the plug missing, meaning you can lose your ring or necklace easily if you are careless. The room 1714's air con fan control did not work & you cannot adjust the fan speed nor the temperature. All these make me feel they just let the place runs down at its own speed. They don't vaccum your room daily. And I notice once when the maid vaccumed, she finished in less than 1 minute! I found a long human hair in the Room 1714's toilet when I just moved in. The reception gave good service though when you are in front of them. Based on my 10 nights there with an average peice of 900 THB (tax included) per night, I do not want to stay there again if I have a choice.

The location is perfect. Especially given that the hotel isn’t located in any secluded area, we felt safe returning back late at night or walking to nearby 7eleven. However, minor downsides are that the hotel entrance for cars apparently isn’t as easy to locate for drivers; and it is super hard to adjust the water temperature for shower. Nonetheless, will recommend. The hotel service was very good and prompt on our request!
