Me and my wife have stayed at Heritage many times before but nothing will match the experience we had this time. In the past we’ve met many front desk/concierge folks who just didn’t rise to the level of service we would expect from such an esteemed resort such as Heritage however this time was MUCH different! When we arrived Daniel AKA “Duck” was working the front desk and he immediately gave us a warm welcome. I told him we had a very long trip and as a result lost my ATM card and was unable to provide him a physical card for payment. Duck was extremely patient and understanding of our situation. He took care of us by making accommodations and allowed us to use ApplePay. THIS is what service is all about folks! To take it even further, Duck provided us a few small upgrades to our room which he did not have to do and we are so appreciative of him for doing this. He then made some GREAT suggestions for restaurants we could go to get a quick bite to eat (Patterson Pub!) which was UH-MAZING!! And then to top it off he helped us navigate to our room which was a little confusing at first but his directions were GREAT! Duck single handily made this experience what it was and I HIGHLY encourage the resort to give this man a raise AND a promotion! Thank you Duck & Thank you Heritage! We will be back! 🙏🙏

Gorgeous views, comfy beds, heater/AC in the room to easily get the exact temp you want, super quiet and drive up parking. Continental breakfast was solid - the coffee from Thanksgiving Coffee co. us really good. Jeff was very kind, informative, and helpful. He even drew us a map to a little indoor cafe & stores next to the Skunk Train which was handy on a rainy day. Pros: they allow pets! #awesome #nexttime Cons: No hot tubs, no firepits - both would be cool additions IMO. Quick tip - if you walk down to the road from the rooms and turn right, after the brown house driveway across the street, you'll see a guardrail. At the end of the guardrail you can go around it to the other side and down a short trail to a beach, that is open to the public and is a STUNNING view. Be *extremely careful* walking along / crossing Highway 1. The path can be slippery in the rain, but it is rocky soil - small steps and you'll be fine. Bring your camera/phone!

We loved our stay in Captains Watch! Especially when the fog cleared and we could see the breathtaking views of the land and sea. No wonder they named it such. A great room with large windows and glass doors gave it an almost treehouse feeling. We loved the stove heater which added such a cozy ambiance. A large tub, coffee, quiet surroundings and privacy made this a perfect getaway for my husband and I. Though we didn’t see much of the staff, when we did they were all so friendly and accommodating. This property is just a short drive from town and there is a market a minute up the road where we picked up last minute wine and cheeses. Great stay! Relaxing, clean and comfortable!
