Our family had an amazing time at this hotel. It was a beautiful and serene place. The best part about our stay was the service. Everyone was so hospitable, especially Mr. Thanga Pandian Muthusamy. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He arranged a boxed lunch for our kids because our flight was during lunch time. He also made out daughter feel so special with giving her peacock feathers. We are glad we stayed at this hotel!

Avea is a modern style guesthouse. All facilities such as a hot shower, AC and WiFi worked well. The bed was comfortable. Towel and soap, toiletpaper all routinely provided. The accommodation is kept very clean. Drinking water and boiling water to make your own coffee or tea is included. Staff want to give good service to the guest. It is not a place where you just get a room for a certain time and that is it. The location is not directly in the city center, but in Anna Nagar which means you have to deal with rickshaw drivers. Staff will assist you. I walked up and down to town and the bus stations. Arappalayam bus stand (Munnar, Coimbatore destinations) is 6 km away. Mattuthavani bus station (Chennai destination) is at a distance of 3 km. Keep in mind Madurai city center is very congested (narrow streets with a lot of noise and exhaust fumes). Anna Nagar is where the city middle class lives. It is more quiet and restaurants are of better standards. Stayed four days.

The property was good. But the cleanliness was horrible. They don't clean the bath room and even the flush was not working. Tv was not there in the room. But they claim that while booking. Even we have to ask for the bucket in the bathroom. Hot water also not available.
