One of the staff members was unfriendly and unhelpful. On our first day, we had to wait about 10 minutes at the check-in desk, even though three employees were present. The person who eventually assisted us didn’t even greet us—I said hello, and he simply asked for our passports. Later, this same staff member refused to call a taxi for us. Fortunately, another staff member was kind enough to help and called a taxi. If you’re traveling with elderly people who can’t walk far and need a taxi directly in front of the hotel, I’d recommend avoiding this place. The streets are very narrow and often crowded, so taxis are reluctant to come. It’s especially frustrating when the hotel staff doesn’t assist with calling one.

This hotel is very good. It also has airport pick-up service and the sanitation is very good. I originally booked the hotel for two days. After I checked in, I felt it was so good that I extended it for a few more nights.

Overall, the experience was fine. I booked a standard room, which resembles a typical 3-star hotel room, though I believe they offer premium rooms as well. The efficiency of the reception staff varied; some were not up to the mark. For instance, when I asked one receptionist about taking a bus to Istanbul Airport, he responded with, “I have no idea.” It’s surprising that a receptionist wouldn’t know about airport transportation. However, another receptionist this morning was excellent and helped resolve my query effortlessly.(Check out time 13:00, 18.11.2024

Price for the accommodation was good. Close to the metro station. The meeting was friendly. When we had found in our kitchen no forks we ordered but the waiting time to fix the problem was too long. Additionally, there were no spoons, no wine opener, no hair dryer The room climate was a little cold. In the room you can hear noise coming from the street even though we were living on the 27 floor. Internet connection was unstable. A bed in the bedroom was 1,4m but on Trip.com was stated that it’s 1,8m No TV set in the bedroom  Because of the bed size we wanted to move to another room on the day however all the rooms we checked had smoke smell so we decided to stay at the room. Swimming pool facilities not good. Need to be renovated.  The view from the hotel room was nice.

The experienced staff were both Friendly and helpful! As I was Traveling late night early morning, I called the hotel for some assistance with a taxi service. They front desk was happy to talk to the driver and even helped me confirm pricing. As a single woman traveling I am wanting to take precautions for my safety. The room was authentic and had a comfortable warmth! The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The location is close to the touristy spots with easy access to public transportation! Travelers be prepared, so many things to see and do-be prepared. We stayed in this hotel for two days in Istanbul. The location of the hotel is very good. It takes 8-10 minutes to walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Royal Palace and the Water Palace. The other side is about the same to the pier and the bay. It is also convenient to eat nearby. It is also convenient to stay here for free travel. There is a tram station downstairs. If you want to go somewhere else, it is OK. The hotel breakfast is very good, and there are seabirds in the morning.
Andi Hotel

Really enjoyed our stay at the Andi Hotel. It’s a quaint, modest place, likely converted from a house. You won’t find a sign outside but just take a look at the photos and memorise the colourful window pattern to find it. It’s down a side street of a main road, 5 mins away from the osmanbey metro station. As for the room, the pictures don’t lie. Room temp was nice and snug, with ample heating and air con if and when needed. Plenty of windows to get fresh air too. Bed was comfy despite being a double up of two single mattresses. Having the kitchenette was useful, especially the fridge, sink and kettle, though a bit of additional cutlery or maybe a microwave would’ve improved matters. There was a washing machine as well but we didn’t require it. TV was fine too but pretty pointless without a Netflix account or Turkish tongue. WiFi wasn’t too shabby either. Bathroom was fine too and the water pressure from the shower was perfect, with an adjustable temperature that worked as you’d expect it to without any sudden spikes of heat or cold. The reception staff are all young guys and a girl in their early twenties. Didn’t speak a lick of English but were helpful when needed. One dude got me a link to football game stream when I couldn’t find it on TV, which was nice. Bear in mind, they give an impression of being unbothered but considering how dull it must be to work there I couldn’t really blame them. They were each attentive when needed so what more do you want. The breakfast was as simple as the service really. Boiled egg, bit of cheese, few olives, basket of bread and varying spreads. Nothing else and no other alternative. As eggs are my usual go to this worked fine for me. Serving between 8-10am, you just have to ask for it and they’ll deliver it to your room within a quarter of an hour. It made for a pleasant start to each day. In essence, if you’re looking something cheap and cheerful where you get a little bit above your money for what you pay for, this hotel is for you. Suits folks of a laidback disposition just looking to enjoy their time with their girl/guy or friends as they embrace all Istanbul has to offer, which is a lot. Recommend!
Mula Hotel

Sultan Ahmed Mosque
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mula Hotel in Istanbul with my family, including two toddlers, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. Nestled in the heart of the old Sultanahmet area, the location couldn’t be more ideal. It’s within walking distance of all the major attractions, offering a perfect blend of convenience and cultural immersion. The surrounding area is a food lover’s paradise, with an array of great restaurants offering local and international cuisine. Plus, the easy access to the tram makes exploring the city a breeze. The hotel itself is a gem. My room was not only beautifully appointed but also boasted a stunning sea view that added a special touch to our family stay. Waking up to the serene vista of the sea was truly a highlight. The hotel’s family-friendly atmosphere made our stay with toddlers smooth and enjoyable. However, what really sets Mula Hotel apart is its exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was not just professional but genuinely warm and welcoming. Their constant smiles and readiness to assist at any hour truly made me feel valued and taken care of. From getting a bottle of water in the middle of the night to personal touches like waiters remembering my omelette preferences after just one day - every detail was noticed and appreciated. I must give special mentions to Ercan at the restaurant and Ilknur at the front desk. Their outstanding service and personal attention significantly enhanced my stay. Their professionalism and kindness reflect the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. Coming from someone who travels significantly and has stayed in several fantastic properties across the world, I can confidently say that Mula is right up at the top, and a rarity among hotels. In conclusion, Mula Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it’s a destination that offers a memorable experience. Whether it’s the prime location, the beautiful rooms, the delicious food, or the unparalleled service, this hotel ticks all the boxes for an exceptional stay in Istanbul. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, especially those traveling with family.
