This is arguably the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Sihanoukville, bar none! The hotel is clean and tidy, and the service is warm and friendly. It's right on the beach with a pool!!! In the evening, lying on a sun lounger, enjoying the gentle sea breeze! Looking at the ocean view not far away, it was incredibly relaxing!!! The hotel breakfast was rich and varied, and dinner was also fantastic, with live music performances – very enjoyable! There's a local hawker stall next door which is very authentic!!! And really cheap!!! Another great thing is that this hotel doesn't have ** [explicitly omitted as per the original review's implicit censorship], nor are there any shady characters coming in and out. The overall environment is really nice!!!

This hotel is excellent in terms of service, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, but the location is a bit problematic because you can't see the hotel from a distance when you want to get to it. However, overall, this hotel is excellent, with nothing lacking.🤗

The staff at this hotel were very welcoming and accommodating. The room is very cozy and comfortable, and the location is close to the beach, market, and other attractions. The Sky bar at this hotel serves good food and great value for money and has a beautiful ambiance with a swimming pool. Will definitely go back with my family.

While the hotel is mostly ok and the front desk staff is very friendly and hard working, the hotels ****** is incredibly unprofessional and lacks in operational standard. If you do spend time there its advisable to check amount and money received thoroughly.

The hotel hospitality was very pleasant. I had a great time with family and seeing the costal views of Sihanoukville. A much more peaceful location, I will definitely be returning back. Though I do advise anyone who’s not a late-camper to request a room away from the beach club as it could get a bit noisy until 1:30AM. Other than that, wonderful team and experience.

This hotel is run by our Chinese compatriots, so communication was easy. The breakfast was similar to what you'd find at a business chain hotel back in China. Some high-floor rooms offer great views overlooking Sihanoukville. The hotel is located on a small hill; it's about a 10-15 minute walk down a small, paved road to the lively area. Overall, it's pretty good! The room decor has a Chinese style, and the facilities are quite new. Plus, they provide toiletries, coffee, toilet paper, and disposable slippers! Haha, that's much better than many hotels abroad. They even gave us complimentary welcome fruit!

GGuest UserThis hotel is an absolute paradise, where you can forget all your worries! We were met at the pier and helped with our luggage (even though the hotel is a 3-minute walk from the pier and there's a paved road). Our family room for four was a two-room suite with two double beds. The only downside is that the white, ornate furniture, upon closer inspection, is quite scuffed. Also, the shower is only separated by a partition on one side, so water splashes onto the floor from the other. Otherwise, everything in the room is great. The bedding and towels are clean, there's bottled drinking water, and you can get additional water from the fridge at reception anytime. Each room, as well as the restaurant, has foot showers. The included breakfasts are delicious, offering fried eggs, pancakes or waffles, pastries, ham, cheese, sausages, rice or noodles with vegetables, and a large selection of fruits (mango, pineapple, orange, passion fruit, papaya, dragon fruit, watermelon). Lunches and dinners from the à la carte menu at the restaurant are also very good. The restaurant always has a pleasant atmosphere, sea views, and tables right by the beach. On some evenings, there's live music and a BBQ on the beach. Nearby in the village, there are other cafes of varying standards; the local ones are cheaper and tasty too, but the decor and service suffer. In the second half of our stay, we stopped looking for variety and only ate at the hotel restaurant. The hotel beach is simply magical! Super white sand, turquoise clear water! There were always enough sun loungers. There are free paddleboards and kayaks, table tennis, and giant chess. The pool has plenty of inflatable rings, toys, and armbands for small children, which I saw people also take to the sea. There's also a cool surf club with an artificial wave. It's paid (I think $25 per hour), but we each received a card for a free hour of lessons during specific times. Our teenage son was thrilled. The restaurant has board games. The hotel also offers boat and tuk-tuk excursions. We took a private boat trip with snorkeling, fishing, BBQ, sunset viewing at sea, and glowing plankton. We didn't take the tuk-tuk as we decided there was no better beach than ours here. There's a massage parlor on the beach, with massages starting from $20 per hour, bookings at reception. We really enjoyed the massage. I heard doubts from others about this hotel due to a road running between the hotel and the beach, but it's not at all bothersome, as traffic on this road is minimal. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful with any requests. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel; it's worth the money and has everything for a wonderful and comfortable holiday.

GGuest UserMy friends told me that this place is not what it used to be. I didn't like the manager's attitude towards me as a tenant. On the first day, I asked to extend my stay for one night, and he came to me without warning. I was eating at the time. Secondly, there is no soundproofing here. Every conversation you have will be heard from the hallway. Also, if for some reason you need to go to bed late, be prepared to be woken up early. The bedding really leaves something to be desired, but I had my own bedding. The kitchen area had good ventilation. All the dishes are provided. There is a pot, but no stove. My sink drain was clogged with someone else's hair. It had been there for so long that mold had formed on it, but no one was going to clean it up, so I did. I'm not a pig, and I'm not going to live in filth. The bathroom is extremely small. Bathrooms like this need a different kind of renovation, not the one that's currently being done. What upset me the most was the moment of my eviction. I notified the manager of my departure time a day in advance. It was fixed. He asked me twice because I wrote a complicated sentence in English. I should have used simpler English. But the next day, when I was checking out, I asked to be escorted to my car because I had a lot of bags. But the manager said he was not at the hotel and there was no one there at the moment. No one could help me. I am a strong girl. It is not difficult for me to cope with this on my own. The problem was that when the car arrived, the security guard said he would not allow me to load my belongings into the car without confirmation of my eviction. And I wasted my time waiting for clarification of the circumstances. On the positive side, I liked that the pool was always warm and very large. There is also a shopping center nearby.

GGuest UserHad many issues with my stay at this hotel earlier this month. 1. Had clothes cleaned by hotel and they all were shrunk. Shirts, jeans, tops etc 2. Sometimes room was not cleaned until late afternoon. 3. Breakfast was a buffet and they were constantly running out of food so had to wait for it to be cooked. The staff were not proactive when food was getting low. Had a jug of juice labelled orange juice. When I drank a glass quickly I found out it was pineapple which I am allergic to. I told the staff and was told they had run out of orange juice and had pineapple juice instead. They did not care that it was the wrong label. 4. There was no water on several occasions. Very frustrating when I was in the shower and had lathered up with soap so I had to rinse with bottled water. 5. There is construction of a new hotel next door so when trying to relax by the pool there was banging and drilling. I understand it is not the fault of Sea Star resort but still annoying. 6. My room was 26 stairs and no elevator. I had to go through an abandoned area which looked like an old reception (see pic) which smelt of urine. There was even old mattresses stored in the hall way at the top of the stairs which likely contributed to the awful small. In the end I decided to check out a day early even though I had paid in full in advance. At $100 a night it is definitely not worth the money. Every night I went for dinner at a much nicer resort only 5 minutes walk away called Beach Walk. I highly recommend staying there.

AAnonymous UserLocation: Perfect and peaceful island setting in Cambodia. Service: Needs more attention from top management. Due to staff shortages during peak holiday season, service was inconsistent, affecting the overall guest experience. Boat Schedule Issue: There was a mismatch in boat schedule information between the reservations team and the front desk. This created difficulties for guests without private transportation, especially since the island is remote and ride-hailing apps (Grab/PassApp) are not readily available. The hotel’s private taxi service charges **$50 one-way**, which feels excessive—management should reconsider pricing. Food Options: Limited menu choices in the restaurant, and the menu was only in English with no pictures. As a local Cambodian, I sometimes struggled to identify dishes. Room & Amenities: Fantastic—clean, comfortable, and hygienic. Breakfast: Absolutely delicious! SPA: Highly recommended! Relaxing and affordable, especially with the hotel’s 30% exclusive discount. One of the best parts of my stay. Buggy Service: A major letdown. Upon checkout, the front desk failed to inform us that no buggy was available. We waited **almost an hour** with no updates, even after calling twice. Eventually, we had to walk to reception. Overall: This hotel has great potential but needs better communication, staffing adjustments, and improved guest convenience (transportation, food options, and service reliability).

Yyuri melEverything was top-notch. The room was clean, with daily housekeeping, and equipped with water, tea, and coffee. Razors, toothbrushes, and combs were all provided. The beach was spotless and constantly cleaned throughout the day. For me, the location was perfect, right next to the Long Set Pier. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide selection. I felt the restaurant itself was a bit pricey (plus a 10% service charge), but there are plenty of cafes, shops, tuk-tuks, and excursions nearby. We had a traditional Khmer massage for $20 an hour. Overall impression: Super!
