  1. 1. What are Trip.com e-gift cards?
    Trip.com e-gift cards (hereinafter referred to as gift cards) are prepaid stored-value cards issued exclusively by Trip.com. Gift cards are available in a variety of designs and monetary amounts, ensuring they meet the needs of users for any occasion. Gift cards can be used when making bookings of services which meet the conditions and which are prepaid to Trip.com online and can be used in combination with other payment methods. Dedicated customer support representatives are available to assist with any gift card related inquiries.
  2. 2. Gift Card Policies
    1. Purchasing Trip.com E-gift Cards Gift cards are only available in USD on Trip.com. Once purchased, gift cards cannot be refunded. 2. Monetary Amounts Gift cards can be purchased in amounts ranging from US$10 to US$2000 per card. The upper limit of a single gift card balance is $2000. One booking can contain multiple gift cards worth a maximum total of US$2000. 3. Scope of Use Gift cards can be used to book and purchase services which meet the conditions and are prepaid to Trip.com online.4. Redemption and Terms of Use a) Once purchased, gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, refunded, returned for a cash refund, reported as lost, used to collect interest, be redeemed for more than their face value, or used in a manner that violates the regulations. b) Gift card balances can be used to make multiple bookings. There is no limit in regards to how much of a gift card's balance can be used at once or how many bookings (provided it meets the conditions) a gift card balance can be applied to. If a user does not have enough gift card balance to cover an entire booking, a different payment method can be used for the remaining amount. c) In the event of a booking cancellation, after verification and the deduction of the cancellation processing fee (if any), the balance will be returned to the gift card used to pay for the booking and made available to be used on a new booking. d) In the event that a partial refund is given to a booking made with multiple gift cards, the system will send refunds to the gift card with the longest validity period.5. Validity Period Gift cards are valid for 3 years beginning on the date of purchase. 6. Gift Card Receipts E-receipts can be found on the booking details page after successfully purchasing a gift card on Trip.com. These e-receipts can also be sent to your contact email.
  3. 3. How long are Trip.com e-gift cards valid for?
    Gift cards are valid for 3 years beginning on the date of purchase. If your gift card was not redeemed or not used during the validity period, the unused portion will be frozen.
  4. 4. Can my gift card be exchanged for cash?
    Once purchased, Trip.com e-gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, refunded, returned for a cash refund, combined, reported as lost, used to collect interest, be redeemed for more than its face value or used in a manner that violates the regulations. Please ensure these policies are agreed to at the time of purchase.
  5. 5. Can I refund a Trip.com e-gift card after purchase?
    Once purchased, Trip.com e-gift cards cannot be refunded. Please contact Trip.com customer support by phone or online chat if you have any questions.
  6. 6. What can I do if I accidentally deleted the email containing my gift card number and code?
    To keep your gift card safe, please do not share your email containing your gift card number and PIN number with others. If your email address was entered incorrectly or the email containing your gift card code was lost, Trip.com will not be responsible. If you accidentally deleted the email containing your gift card number and PIN number, the sender of the gift card can send a new email by opening the gift card booking and tapping the "Resend" button.
  7. 7. Why has my gift card balance been frozen?
    Please contact Trip.com customer support to verify the cause and unfreeze your balance.
  8. 8. Do gift cards have to be used all at once? What if my gift card balance is not enough to cover the entire booking?
    A gift card balance can be used to make multiple bookings. When a user decides to use a gift card, the system will automatically use the gift card balance to deduct from the booking total. If a gift card does not have enough balance to cover the entire booking, a different payment method (ex. a credit card) can be used to pay for the remaining amount.
  9. 9. Where can I view my gift card balance?
    On the Trip.com website or App, select "My Balance" on the gift card home page, head to the gift card view balance page, enter your card number and code according to the instructions then select "View" to view the balance on your gift card. (Note: The View Balance function is currently only available on the English and Chinese language websites such as Australia, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, etc. If you need to view your balance, please visit the above listed website locales. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.)
  10. 10. Are receipts available after purchase?
    E-receipts can be found on the booking details page after successfully purchasing a gift card on Trip.com. These e-receipts can also be sent to your contact email.
  11. 11. Can one Trip.com e-gift card booking total be split into multiple receipts?
    Only one receipt per booking can currently be provided. If you need multiple receipts, please make multiple bookings.
  12. 12. Can receipts for multiple Trip.com e-gift cards be combined?
    Receipts for multiple bookings cannot currently be combined.
