Flight from Singapore to Yiwu

Yiwu is a city in central Zhejiang province of China and has a population of 1.2 million people. Its area is made of Yiwu and Dongyang cities. The city has a very long and rich history, it was founded during Qin Dynasty in 222 BC as Wushang county, in 624 AD it was renamed Yiwu County. The city has been a historically important trading city, even during the 1600s the men of this city would travel to surrounding lands to sell small commodities. Today this city is known for the vibrant market, small commodity trade, and regional tourist destination. The city is also known as one of the largest producers of fashion jewellery in China. The city has been home to some of the notable figures of China including Wu Han, Chen Wangdao, Zhu Zhixi and many more.

Yiwu Airport is used for civil as well as military serving Yiwu, Jinhua in Zhejiang Province of China. Its international terminus was opened in 2014 and has flights to limited countries. This is a perfect place where people of all ages can enjoy and have a wonderful day out. Visit the Tomb of Luo Binwang that is located nine miles east of the city. Luo Binwang is considered one of the greatest poets of the Tang Dynasty. The location is scenic and beautiful and a great place to learn about Chinese history. Visit Xiuhu Lake Park that is located in the centre of the city the buildings around the lake has been constructed in the style of the Ming Dynasty.

Tip: You can visit Xiuhu Lake Park early morning and watch locals workout and even join them in walking or jogging.

Eat & Stay

Yiwu has excellent restaurants and street food that you can explore as per your budget. Try out Binwang Road for the best high-end and gourmet restaurants. Jinhua is the best place for street food and good cheap food in Yiwu. Yingenmen Street has some trendy bars and pubs for nightlife.

Futian Road has some of the best 4-star, 5-star and luxury hotels in the city. For mid-range and business hotels you can check out Chengbei Road and Jiangbin Road. For budget accommodation, the best areas to try are Gongren road and Chouzhou Road.

Yiwu is known as “commodity ocean and shopping paradise” making shopping a must when you are there. Make sure that you visit the Huanyuan market and Binwang Market which are major international trade centres. Do not miss out on the iconic Yiwu International Trade City which is a market covered in 346 acres and has lots to offer.
