Surakarta is a city in Central Java Indonesia, which used to be the capital of Indonesia. It is commonly known as Solo locally as the River Solo lies on the eastern side of the city. The city’s rich history and beautiful landscape have attracted tourists for many years. It is also one of the major business centres for the Central Java region. Karanganyar Regency and Boyolali Regency surround the city to the north and Sukoharjo Regency to the east and west.
