Tip: Do take out time for the visual treat that Yaksha Gana offers. It is a folk dance of this region full of colours and depicts their culture.

To experience local life, visit the Kudla central market which is one of the biggest markets in Mangalore. You get fruits, meats, spices and much other traditional stuff in its network of small streets.

At the Hampankatta market, you could have a bite of traditional sweets and savouries of this place. Mysore pak is a sweet which has a unique taste and aroma. You can go to the Badangupet market to buy silk sarees and jewellery which line up this area.
