This creative process encourages individuals to tap into the poetry of their own bodies and unlock innate wisdom and creativity. By delving into tension, contrast, and distortion, attendees can express their deepest emotions, memories, and thoughts. With the use of guided imagery and symbolic gestures, this workshop facilitates a deeper understanding of the inner landscape, providing insight into the tender spaces within the body. Regardless of experience, all bodies are welcome to join this holistic and exploratory workshop. Attendees are encouraged to wear loose-fitting clothes and bring a notebook or sketchbook. Simple drawing materials will be provided. Connie Noyes, an interdisciplinary artist with an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MA in Psychology and Art Therapy, will guide participants through this transformative journey. As a licensed psychotherapist and registered art therapist in Illinois, Noyes brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the workshop.
