“There is design in everything,” wrote Clara Porset, the innovative Cuban-Mexican designer. She believed that craft and industry could inspire each other, forging an alternative path for modern design. Not all of Porset’s colleagues agreed with her conviction. This exhibition presents these sometimes conflicting visions of modernity proposed by designers of home environments in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela between 1940 and 1980. For some, design was an evolution of local and Indigenous craft traditions, leading to an approach that combined centuries-old artisanal techniques with machine-based methods. For others, design responded to market conditions and local tastes, and was based on available technologies and industrial processes. In this exhibition, objects including furniture, appliances, posters, textiles, and ceramics, as well as a selection of photographs and paintings, will explore these tensions.
The home became a site of experimentation for modern living during a period marked by dramatic political, economic, and social changes, which had broad repercussions for Latin American visual culture. For nearly half a century, the design of the domestic environment embodied ideas of national identity, models of production, and modern ways of living. The home also offered opportunities for a dialogue between art, architecture, and design. Highlights of the exhibition include Clara Porset’s Butaque chair; Lina Bo Bardi’s Bowl chair; Antonio Bonet, Juan Kurchan, and Jorge Ferrari Hardoy’s B.K.F. Chair; and Roberto Matta’s Malitte Lounge Furniture.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the most important museums in the world. With the influence of American imperialism, it has collected cultural relics and artworks from various civilizations around the world through plunder. Most of these exhibits are representative cultural relics of various civilizations. I believe that every visitor will feel mixed emotions here.

The entire museum is classified according to different civilizations on different continents. Because everyone knows the origin of the collections, the exhibition is very simple and crude, that is, putting the things of a civilization in one place, without any good narrative, it is completely a &quot;trophy&quot; display.

There are many collections here. If you want to see them carefully, you need to spend one or two days. The museum is next to Central Park, and the two places can also be arranged to visit in one day, half a day in the park and half a day in the museum.

Super easy to navigate from metro to ferry through the park. Helpful and friendly staff when you wanted them, not in your face like other tourist attractions which was such a respite. The island was very calm, good cafe, gift shop and views for days. My one criticism would be the painfully juvenile audio tour recoding (brother and sister). I had to stop listening as it was far too cringey!

The Empire State Building was built at the beginning of the United States&#39; march toward world hegemony, and it has long occupied the throne of the world&#39;s tallest building. It can be said that it is a must-see attraction when visiting the United States.

The building is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan. From the observation deck, you can have a 360-degree bird&#39;s-eye view of the entire Manhattan, as well as the surrounding states of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, etc. However, there are many skyscrapers taller than it in China and even in the world now, and the scenery and vision are not much inferior, so the significance of coming up now may not be so great.

Whether to go up and take a look is a matter of opinion.

Visited this museum in New York City for a glance of the famous and original Starry Night painting by Vincent Van Gogh! I&rsquo;m glad that we did pay a visit as the museum visit was a great one! the museum is huge with 5 floors of art paintings and sculptures displays! We spent around 2 hours here, which wasn&rsquo;t sufficient. wish we had more time to spend here! The layout was a little confusing for me, but overall, amazing and artsy museum to visit.

Must go spot while visiting New York City! It&rsquo;s nestled on the fifth Avenue, walk along fifth avenue and Rockefeller Center is easily spotted! there&rsquo;s a ice skating rink during our visit, very lively and buzzing energy! lovely place to explore and for sight seeing! definitely a must go in NYC
