Participants age 13+ are invited to learn the basics of crochet from Emily Enloe of SweetEnloe Crochet! Participants ages 13+ will learn basic crochet terms and stitches from local crochet artist Emily Enloe of SweetEnloe Crochet. Through group and individual instruction, students will learn how to put these various stitches together to create their own unique crocheted items. Students will be provided a crochet hook and yarn to keep, but may also bring in any existing crochet hooks, yarn, or projects they wish to use while in class. Learn to paint a complete 16x20” oil painting with step-by-step guidance from Certified Ross Instructor®, Barbie Sawyer. Adult participants will learn the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique® as seen on more than 300 PBS stations throughout the US. All materials provided, no experience necessary. Students are invited to bring lunch/snack. A brief break will take place mid-way through the workshop. About the Instructor Barbie Sawyer began painting in 2012. She took an acrylic painting class and found it wasn’t really what she was looking for so she signed up for a Bob Ross Landscape Oil Class. She fell in love with the oil paints and Bob’s techniques. She recently completed the Instructor Training program in Florida. She learned how to teach the “Wet on Wet” techniques and earned her certificate as a Certified Bob Ross Instructor. Come to one of her classes and “Paint Just Like Bob Ross (In One Day)” and you will leave with an impressive frame-ready painting. On June 20, 2026, The 5th Annual Juneteenth Family Fest Charleston will be held at Riverfront Park located in North Charleston, SC. Celebrating Juneteenth in Charleston, South Carolina as a large-scale event is significant. According to the International African-American Museum, nearly half of enslaved Africans brought to America came through Charleston, and nearly 80 percent of African-Americans can potentially trace an ancestor who arrived in Charleston . On Saturday, June 20, 2026 , the Juneteenth Family Fest will return! This community-family-based event will take place at the Riverfront Park in North Charleston, SC, and is open to the public. Doors will open at 2 pm, and festivities will begin at 3 pm. This day-long celebration will be power-packed with activities ranging from live performances, black art displays, games for children, and delicious cultural food! Non-profit organizations, local community vendors, and historically black colleges and universities will be present to share information beneficial to our community and families. This joyous occasion will be topped off with a grand fireworks show finale that will be worth watching with your family and friends!
