The psychic event starts at Burton Gaol/Royal oak and finishes at the same place with a £5.50 complimentary voucher at the bar. The evening starts with a psychic walk in Burton on Trent is whereby a spiritualist medium communicates with the deceased. This takes place on the Burton Ghost walk nicknamed the "haunted walk ". Due to ghosts being seen by members of the general public. The psychic is accompanied by a historian to give verification or none verification to what the psychic is seeing. Tom is involved with developing race-walking through England Athletics and is looking to reach out to clubs within the midlands to help get youngsters involved with this wonderful discipline. We are hopeful this is the first of many sessions that Tom can host for our area. At 4pm Tom will be leading a race-walking training session. This will build confidence and fundamental race-walking skills. He will be observing and be able to offer World Class knowledge to the young athletes. At 5pm Tom and a group of England Athletics officials will start a development race of 1000m for all to participate in. The proceeds of this event will pay for the track costs and go into building future events such as this one. We endeavour for this to give many young athletes an opportunity to experience world class coaching, meet an Olympian and become excited about race-walking. This event is aimed for ages 7-16.
