CALLING ALL PUBLIC ART PEOPLE! Our community rarely has a chance to meet, talk shop, schmooze, make friends or just hang out. We don’t have gallery openings, residencies or neighborhoods where we naturally run into each other… So let’s make it happen! You are warmly invited to a PUBLIC ART PARTY on Wednesday, April 23rd at 6pm at FXCollaborative in downtown Brooklyn. The event will kick off with “Hot Topics in Public Art,” an interactive and irreverent conversation with experts from across the field. Prepare to ask and answer questions! “Hot Topics in Public Art” Panel: Sandra Bloodworth, Principal of Bloodworth Arts International Kendal Henry, Assistant Commissioner of Public Art, NYC Culture Margaret Johnson, Principal and Senior Curator at UAP Kimberly Landa, President of Kinzelman Art Consulting Mia Pearlman, Artist & Moderator John Usdan, CEO of Midwood Investment & Development This discussion will offer plenty of juicy conversation starters for the party to follow. Guests will include artists, public art administrators, architects, private art consultants, fabricators, real estate developers, corporate clients and anyone who is interested in joining our community. RSVP IS REQUIRED BY APRIL 21. Space is limited so don’t wait! This building has the security of Fort Knox, so please bring a picture ID and arrive early to sign in. Light refreshments will be served. All ticket proceeds will be used to cover the cost of the event. If this is a barrier to entry, please email studio@miapearlman.com for a complimentary ticket. PUBLIC ART PARTY is organized and hosted by Mia Pearlman as part of the exhibition “INSIDE/OUTSIDE” at FXCollaborative Gallery. For questions about parking or security, please contact FXCollaborative at 212-627-1700.
