A Start in Art - WEDNESDAY sessions is an annual program that was established in 2000 at the Taube Museum of Art in Minot. This program is designed to provide children aged 9 months to 5 years old with an opportunity to engage in reading, creative art projects, and meet a mystery animal. The program runs twice a month, from October 2023 to May 2024.
During the first session of each month, a teacher will read a fun story to the children, followed by the opportunity to create multiple hands-on art projects related to the story. In the second session, a mystery animal from the Roosevelt Park Zoo will visit the children, creating a unique and exciting experience. The children will then have the chance to create art based on the animal they meet.
Parents are required to participate in the program, which offers a total of 16 sessions. The program fees for members are $100, while non-members can participate for $120. Drop-in rates are also available at $10 per class and can be paid at the door. It is recommended to call ahead and inform the organizers of your intention to attend.
The upcoming session on October 25th will feature a story with an art project, providing an ideal opportunity to engage children in literature and creative expression. Don't miss out on this wonderful program that combines education, imagination, and hands-on artistic experiences. Secure your spot today and let your child embark on a journey of discovery through art and literature.
