These technologies and the materials used in their manufacture are crucial to the survival and development of our societies. As we transition to green energy and become increasingly dependent on digital technologies, global demand for these materials is growing rapidly. The scientific and industrial communities are urgently seeking more ethical and sustainable ways to mine these vital raw materials, utilize them more efficiently, and recycle them effectively. We see critical raw materials in our news feeds almost daily, but how exactly do they integrate into our lives? What are they? Why do we need them? Where do we get them? And how will we obtain them in the future? The Natural History Museum at the University of Oxford, in collaboration with researchers from the Earth Programme and the Department of Physics, Life and Social Sciences, is preparing an exhibition that will explore these questions and potential solutions to our need for critical raw materials.

The Oxford Shakespeare Festival, in its 16th year, will run from June 22 to August 15, 2026. This summer, enjoy three spectacular open-air theatre productions in the courtyards of Oxford Castle and Prison. The Oxford Piano Festival, held on the picturesque campus of St Hilda's College, lasts nine days and aims to inspire, support, and encourage the highest quality piano music creation, featuring masterclasses, workshops, and evening performances by renowned pianists. This year's program focuses on piano works that fully demonstrate the power of music and its ability to communicate with each of us through the instrument. Internationally renowned pianists explore music from different styles and periods, each artist possessing a unique musical language. The lineup includes: Steven Osborne and Paul Lewis performing works from the First Viennese School; Argentine pianist Ingrid Fleet presenting a Chopin concert; Richard Goode embarking on a musical exploration of Central European repertoire spanning centuries; Isata Cane-Mason offering fresh perspectives and introducing classical music to a wider audience; Elizabeth Leonskaya interpreting the essence of Schubert's late piano works; and Theodoria Ntocu performing Grieg's iconic Piano Concerto with the Oxford Philharmonic at the Sheldon Theatre.

Alice in Wonderland Festival is usually celebrated on the first Saturday in July each year. CASA Encore 2023 is a Panhellenic-wide dance competition that aims to support CASA of North Mississippi, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children. Through the appointment of court-appointed, screened, and trained community volunteers, CASA of North Mississippi strives to change the stories of these vulnerable children across the county.
