Wood is known for her simple designs, natural forms, and rich materials. This exhibition features three recently acquired works, including *Sending* and *Receiving* (both created in 1958). These works were created for the Maclean-Hunter Building in Toronto, near the AGO, at the intersection of Dundas St. West and University Avenue. In the works, nude sculptures float within a dreamlike landscape, adorned with shimmering gold leaf.

Notably, this marks Bruno Mars’ first live performances since his 2025 Park MGM residency and his first full-scale tour since the Bruno Mars Live tour spanning 2022 to 2024. This exhibition will showcase the museum's strengths in art movements such as Pop Art, Abstract Art, Realism, and Minimalism. It will present an international artistic style, including works by Brazilian artists from the Ontario Museum of Art's collection, highlighting the global nature of modernism. In addition, a series of contemporary artworks responding to the modernist movement will also be on display.

Tracing Blackness through its many migrations and manifestations, the interdisciplinary artist Oluseye blends the ancestral with the contemporary and the physical with the spiritual. Inspired by merindinlogun, a Yoruba divination ritual, Oluseye presents a new installation that illustrates the spiritual, mythological, and biographical elements that have shaped his worldview and art practice. In Yoruba culture, cowrie shells symbolize wealth and prosperity and are used by diviners to communicate with ancestors and receive guidance. Paying homage to that cultural practice and his own narratives, Oluseye presents 16 large-scale bronze cowrie shells, resting atop a hand-carved divination tray.

One of Canada's best-known printmakers, David Blackwood (1941–2022) put onto paper an enduring vision of Newfoundland. Born and raised on Bonavista Bay, his hauntingly beautiful images—suffused with struggle and myth—are drawn from childhood memories, dreams, superstitions, legends, and oral traditions. Tracing Blackwood’s career from his first days as an art student at the Ontario College of Art to his final drawing, this expansive retrospective brings together more than 80 drawings and prints, alongside proofs, copperplates, and archival materials. Thanks to the generosity of the artist and his family, the AGO is home to Blackwood’s archives, and the largest collection of his work in the world. Curated by Alexa Greist, Curator & R. Fraser Elliott Chair, Prints and Drawings at the AGO, this exhibition aims to reveal the creative evolution of a beloved Canadian artist.

Edna Tasson was a pivotal figure in the Toronto and New York art scene of the 1940s, exerting a crucial influence on the development of Canadian abstract painting. Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's theories of abstraction and color, her oil paintings and works on paper are characterized by floating compositions, fluid lines, and luminous forms achieved through the free fusion of colors. This exhibition showcases over 25 oil paintings, watercolors, and collages on paper created in the 1940s, highlighting Tasson's intuitive approach and innovative spirit. As a leading figure in Canadian non-figurative art, Tasson's valuable works and archival materials, provided by her family, the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), and lending institutions across Canada, will be presented in this rare exhibition. Curated by Renée van der Award, Associate Curator for Canadian Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario, the exhibition will be accompanied by a hardcover catalogue published in conjunction with Goose Lane Press.
