The 24th Chagan Lake Ice and Snow Fishing and Hunting Cultural Tourism Festival | Qianguo
Celebration
The 24th Chagan Lake Ice and Snow Fishing Culture Tourism Festival opened on December 28th, featuring two main themes and exciting activities day and night. During the day, the theme is ice and snow sports, with the "Tengyu Ice and Snow Park" as a highlight. The park includes a beginner ski slope, five snow slides with a 30-meter drop totaling 388 meters, a 500-square-meter indoor ice fishing camp, and over 30 ice and snow entertainment activities such as octopus drifting, snowmobiling, and ice hovercraft. At night, the theme is fishing culture, with the 30,000-square-meter Dragon Fish Village illuminated by thousands of fish lanterns. It mainly consists of areas such as the Dragon Fish Feast, Icefall Wonderland, and Dragon Fish Market.
The core scenic spot, Icefall Wonderland, has been upgraded from 40 meters last year to 268 meters. In the performance square, over 10 intangible cultural heritage performances, including ethnic song and dance, celestial maidens scattering flowers, and iron flower performances, will be held in the afternoon and evening.
This year's winter fishing season will begin in late December and continue until just before the Spring Festival. Nets will be cast daily, with fish being caught between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM each day. The fishing grounds will also feature interactive activities such as an ice-based blind box experience, net fishing, and photo opportunities.
During the opening ceremony, 11 supporting activities will be arranged, including an ice fishing carnival, an ice lake skiing competition, and an ice and snow Naadam festival. Following the opening ceremony, more than 10 activities will continue throughout the winter, including a snow football league and a snow frisbee series.
