We booked Mazda cx30 but we got Hundai which is ok but I really prefer to have Mazda. Staff in downtown when we pick up is really nice. However, I forget my international driver license in that car and we have contacted Budget company in Christchurch so they told us to email customer service. It has been a week still no reply so dispointed.

Overall, the car was good value for money and had excellent fuel economy, which helped keep costs down during the trip. Customer service was also pretty good — staff were helpful when I had questions during the hire, and they kindly covered an Uber to the airport after I missed the last shuttle of the day, which I appreciated.
There were a few downsides though. The basic insurance excess was extremely high, and the cost to reduce it with additional cover felt quite expensive. The car itself also needed a bit more maintenance attention: there was no windscreen washer fluid, and the wipers need replacing as visibility at night and during low sun conditions was noticeably affected. There was also a rattling noise in the driver’s door at higher speeds which became distracting while driving. Overall, decent experience with room for improvement.

We got a good car for a very good price. Young driver's fee was not a lot at all and I'm very glad I found a place that allowed me to rent a car at 21! The clerk was very kind and everything went quickly. Online check-in was simple and straightforward. No complaints!

Easy transfer for pickup from intnl arrival, the Alphard/Velfire model is a bit old, its suspension sytem needs to be improved/done i.e. a small bumper will always give you a shock on your spine even at extremely low speed. Otherwise the car is very comfortable.

Had an incident where my card wasn’t working, but they were so patient with me while it took me almost an hour to contact my bank. They were really nice! Car was in good condition. I had the hybrid one so the gas was really cheap and it was all over really reliable and smooth. Will definitely book with Mode rental again!

The car was in excellent condition, white, and ran on an electric tram, which was very fuel-efficient. The staff provided shuttle service from the airport to and from the airport, so there was no waiting. They also dropped us off at the airport immediately when we returned the car in the morning. I would definitely rent from this place again next time I need to go somewhere else.
