The car we received was an upgrade; it was larger than expected, which was necessary since we had a large group and needed a bigger car.
I called beforehand to ask if we could meet at my hotel, as it was an Ibis near the airport with parking. The foreign woman on the other end of the line told me it wasn't possible.
However, when the time came, the person actually handling the car handover was a Chinese man, and he said it was possible. So, it seems like anyone needing this service should just wait for a call.
The processing area was a bit odd, located in front of a residential building, but overall the process went smoothly, which was quite good.
However, if you haven't purchased insurance, they will insist you buy it; just respect their request.

The condition of the car was satisfactory however do check to see if there are any damages. The road you use to go into Melbourne City does have tolls so ensure you create a linkt account. This will allow you to pay for tolls you pass throughout Melbourne while driving the rental.
Apart from this the vehicle was a late model and did have Bluetooth etc.
