圌山之巅楞俨寺侧，砖石结构，高七层，明崇祯年间秦观阳所建，秦观阳，镇江丹徒人，自幼家境贫寒，经悬梁苦读，终于考中进士，官至吏部尚书，为报答家乡父老养育之恩，鼓励后辈认真读书，倾其历年积蓄建成此塔，命名“报恩塔”，后来，此塔竟成长江航道上的标志，溯江而上，这是航行者见到的第一座塔，故又被誉为“万里长江第一塔”
