A secret border with a solemn atmosphere
Original Text
It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot and there is a fairly steep downhill. It seems that it is about 400 m from here. Along the path, many lanterns and stone Buddhas are built. We have arrived at the entrance of Yugawara "Shitododo Cave". It's really in the middle of the forest in the mountains. It seems that there was no such road at that time, so it must have been a pretty harsh environment. The word "Shitodo Cave" is written. Minamoto no Yoritomo, who lost to the Heike in the battle of Ishibashiyama, ...
From Yugawara Station, go north of the hot spring town and climb the Tsubaki Line. The parking lot is well maintained and the view from here is good, so it is recommended to stop by while driving w.
This is the place where Minamoto no Yoritomo hid himself after the battle of Mt. Ishibashi. Many stone Buddhas are enshrined in the cave, and somehow there is a creepy atmosphere. This time I went down from Shiroyama to the cave, but I recommend solid shoes as I go down a steep slope. After the tour, I went to Makuyama Park, but I think it will be difficult unless you are accustomed to walking in the mountains because the road here is rough.
This area is said to be Sakurago. It was the birthplace of Kanto Yamabushi and was also the place for Yamabushi. This is the place where Yoritomo hid after the battle of Mt. Ishibashi.
After staying overnight at Yugawara Onsen Inn, I stopped by a spot in the middle of the route I chose to go to Hakone, but the scenery from the hill is good, but the waterfall view route ahead of the tunnel is on foot. It's a road and it seems to take time, so I gave up this time.
