Nanshan Temple

Nanshan Temple is one of the ten attractions listed in the World Heritage List as cultural landscapes in Wutai Mountain. Nanshan Temple was founded in Liang Dynasty, formerly known as "Dawan Shengyouguo Temple", and was rebuilt during the Yuan Dynasty and Qing Guangxu years, and was renamed "Jile Temple" in the Qing Dynasty. At the end of Qing Dynasty, the monastery presided over Puji monks and the original Jile Temple, Deshantang and Youguo Temple, which formed the scale of today, called "Nanshan Temple".

Nanshan Temple is a large scale (composed of Deshantang, Jile Temple, Youguo Temple), which is located in Nanpo Village, Taihuai Town, Wutai Mountain, built on the mountain, and the existing buildings are mostly built in the late Ming Dynasty, with a long history and a strong incense.

Nanshan Temple is not in the main temple group. It takes a long time to get off the bus a few kilometers away, but it is very worth it. It is the most beautiful temple found on the trip to Wutai Mountain. Although the two-story temple is inconspicuous, the two-story small attic enters the cave, the sculptures and murals are beautiful, and there are crystal Guanyin and videos. If I miss the Nanshan Temple in Wutai, it is a pity.
