Great for families. Young and old.
A knowledgeable guide explained everything in great detail, which is great when you know nothing about mining. The buildings above ground are equally as interesting and well presented.

Really impressed by this site. Whilst we visited mid week and the actual mine is only open on Sundays or Bank hols (it is run by volunteers so no criticism there) there was plenty to see above ground....
