The sea is azure, the trees are shady, and walking down the wooden plank road to see the small boats moored on the sea is a delightful surprise, as beautiful as a painting! ✅Beishan Road The end of the road is the sea, and taking photos of the winding road towards the sea is amazing! Just take photos from the side of the road, but be careful and don't disrupt traffic. ✅Banmoon Bay The romance of Weihai, with the sunrise and sea each taking half the credit, the sunrise at Banmoon Bay🌅 is absolutely stunning, worth staying up all night to see! ✅Naxianghai During the day, it's a clean sunny beach with the sea and sky merging into one, and at sunset, it's the romantic windmills under the sunset glow, hard not to love. ✅Jiming Island A stunningly romantic little island, with a seaside church, a lonely cliffside café, a long coastline, and little daisies among the rocks, so beautiful you won't want to leave the island. ✅Jinshi Bay Art District Blue sea, blue sky, and seagrass houses, it's like stepping into the world of Hayao Miyazaki's anime. The seagrass houses can sometimes be under maintenance and quite messy, so it's recommended to check their status before visiting. 🏨About Accommodation: We stayed in the Huancui District, Weihai is not a big city, so it's convenient to stay anywhere. 🍢About Food: Dajingyuan tastes good, Hanxiangfu Korean BBQ Manor, Taipei Xiaocheng are also okay, Shuangmendong Korean BBQ is average. You must try the figs, they're very sweet😋. 🚗About Transportation: In Weihai city, taking taxis and electric scooters is sufficient, for trips back and forth to Rongcheng you can take a rideshare or rent a car for a self-driving tour. 🔖Weihai Tips: ❶There's a temperature difference between morning and evening, and the seaside wind is strong, so wear something thick and bring a windproof hat; ❷Before going to Jiming Island, check in advance if the boat service to the island is operating, as it may stop during windy and wavy weather; ❸Weihai is located at the easternmost part of the motherland, so the sunrise is very early, check the sunrise time in advance if you plan to watch it; ❹When going to Cat Head Mountain, don't navigate to Cat Head Mountain, navigate to the No. 3 Viewing Platform, you can refer to my previous Cat Head Mountain guide.

🏝 I took my child to Weihai, Shandong for the National Day holiday. Before coming, I looked through many travel guides and saw a lot of beautiful photos of Weihai. We were lucky to have good weather during our stay in Weihai, but the overwhelming number of tourists during the holiday period made the experience slightly less enjoyable. · 🌈 I originally planned to visit Torch Eight Streets, but after seeing the dense crowds on social media, I decided to be kind to myself and skip this attraction. If you really want to visit this place during the peak season, I suggest going there at six in the morning. · 🏖 Taking children to Weihai, the best place is to take them to the beach to play with sand. No child doesn't love sand and water, give them a small bucket and shovel, and they can happily play all day long, while adults just need to sit by and watch them. In Weihai city, the parks with beaches I recommend are Seaside Park and Haiyuan Park, although the latter is too small. · 👶 As a child-friendly city, Weihai has many parks with free public children's play facilities. I recommend Yuehai Park, where kids can swing and slide. Note that Yuehai Park does not have a beach‼️ · 🏨 For accommodation in Weihai, I recommend staying near Hanlefang and Weihai High-speed Railway Station for convenient transportation, a variety of accommodation options, and easy access to attractions. Hanlefang is a popular night market in Weihai, especially crowded at night, mainly offering Korean cuisine, along with many snacks, and it operates later than other places. Also, Hanlefang is particularly crowded during the tourist season‼️ · 🌟 Overall, Weihai is a city worth visiting for tourism, with a slow pace of life suitable for vacations. But if you want a more in-depth travel experience, it's better to come during the off-season.

✅Several key points 1️⃣Is it cold The perceived temperature is okay, -5℃ is completely ok for people from Zhejiang, there is heating indoors and it's very warm. The seaside is extremely cold due to the sea breeze (places without wind are not too cold). 2️⃣What to wear Waterproof boots + thermal underwear + long scarf + hat that covers the ears (when the sea breeze blows, the ears and head hurt) Down jackets and good quality woolen coats can withstand the cold. 3️⃣How to get there Weihai has an airport, but there are few flights. If there is no direct flight, you can fly to 'Yantai' or 'Qingdao', and you can choose 'Weihai North Station' for high-speed rail. 🌟If you are afraid that snow will affect transportation, it is recommended to arrive in Weihai 1-2 days in advance. 4️⃣How about the consumption Off-season sea view accommodation 1,200, Korean meals in restaurants 60,70 per person, taxis are mostly about ten yuan, very affordable for first and second tier cities! Weihai Travel Must-See: This Weihai travel guide shares the essentials after having visited all the attractions in the three cities and one district, and having tasted all the delicious food in Weihai's urban area. I've compiled a simple guide for your reference. Personally, I think Weihai is the city with the most Nordic temperament and petty bourgeois sentiment in China, and I would like to call it 'China's Copenhagen'. Weihai is not a very large city overall. The urban area is laid out along the coast, with the area near Huan Cui Building and the northern part being the relatively old city area (Gao District), and the southeastern part being the relatively new city area (Economic District). In addition, although Wendeng District is also named after a district, in a strict sense, it is very far from the central urban area, just like Daxing District in Beijing. Be careful not to book a hotel in Wendeng by mistake (unless you really want to go there to play). I personally recommend hotels located in Gao District, with good locations near Oulu Square, near the seaside bathing beach, and near Huan Cui Building. 😄 Weihai is a very rare city suitable for tourism in all four seasons. I personally really like the winter in Weihai, especially if you can go to Tangbo/Tianmu Hot Springs for an outdoor bath, feeling the snowflakes falling and the contrast of ice and fire, that would be wonderful. Weihai is also a city that can be toured in one day or over a week, with attractions and strategies depending on your time arrangement. If you're looking for a quick tour of one or two days, the city's Happiness Gate + Coastal Avenue all the way to the Economic District, plus the seaside bathing beach/Torch Eight Streets are enough to cover. If you're planning a week-long in-depth tour, some less popular but scenic spots that rival the beauty of Northern Europe can be explored slowly. I recommend places like Banmoon Bay and the northern coastal road, Shuangdao Bay, Likou Mountain, Huafa Xintiandi, and so on, where you can wander around and take beautiful photos. At the same time, since Yantai and Weihai are very close, you can also plan a trip to Yantai. Weihai's cuisine also has very distinctive regional features, starting with seafood, be sure not to miss the special hairtail dumplings and seaweed buns! Some dishes that Weihai people like to eat include garlic-braised sea anemones, chives fried sea intestines, scallion-blasted sea cucumbers, oil-braised prawns, braised swan eggs, and other traditional Shandong cuisine. I didn't come to Weihai before because there were too many people and of course I couldn't find the right time. I came at the end of October. The first day was cloudy without sun. I went to Jiangguzui in the afternoon when the sun was setting. The waves were super big. When I left the next day, it turned out to be sunny. The waves on Torch Eight Street were also super big. The wind blew me sizzling. I was thinking about coming to Weihai when it snows in winter. I have to wrap myself up thickly when I come in winter.
