Sala Veratti a civic museum acquired by the Municipality of Varese in 1986 from the family of the same name, following the restoration in 1992, is home to exhibitions and exhibitions of the Civic Museums. The room belongs to a corpus of ancient origins: it is the refectory of the former convent of Sant'Antonino whose history begins in the mid-1500s with the suppression of a convent by S. Carlo Borromeo, then rebuilt in its current position thanks to the contribution of the city.The room was born from an extension in 1599. Finely frescoed, it preserves works by the Baroffio brothers and the Varese artist Pietro Antonio Magatti.
