Indeed is one of the symbols of the city but is is not that grat. You cannot avoid to see it but the pleasure is a different thing

Victory arch

This victory arch bridges the road, there is no safe place to stand to take a centered photo of the arch.

Not very exciting, but with some history attached

The Royal Arch Gate, built in 1891 in honor of Crown Prince Nicholas II, who was returning from Japan via Ulan-Ude. We were told that this is not the original but was rebuilt quiet recently.

A triumph in proportion to the size of city ;-)

Not knowing much about the history, you will definitely spot this arch when leaving Lenin head statue toward Arabat.
