The old bell tower, which was next to the five-storied pagoda, was under construction.

    Original Text

There was a bell tower with a large bell next to the right side of Dewa Shrine (Sanjinaisaiden) at the top of Mt. Haguro. In October 2023, when we visited, scaffolding was assembled to surround the bell tower and covered with construction film, but we could see the huge bell. This bell tower is said to be the second oldest building after the five-storied pagoda in Mt. Haguro. It's a big bell as you can see, but it's the second largest before the Middle Ages after Todaiji Temple.

    Yuyushan Mountain

Located in Mt. Haguro. I was looking forward to it because I had seen it on TV. I walked up, but it was written that the bell should not be attached. It was a shame.

    World-class thatched bell tower

    Original Text

What you want to see is the wonderfulness of the cut of thatched roof. It takes a considerable number of years just to prepare such a thick thatched roof. See the exquisite balance of the shape of the thatched roof.

It appears in New Year's Eve "year to come"

    Original Text

It is a bonsho and a bell tower on the top of Mt. Haguro. The bonsho has an inscription of the first year of the construction (1275), and is old after Todaiji Temple and Kongohoji Temple, and it is beautiful when you look closer and has a 、 style. In addition, the bell tower was rebuilt by the donation of 1618 Mogami Ienobu, and is a kirizuma-zukuri thatched wooden building. There is no gorgeousness, but it has a look that makes you feel the weight of history.

    I feel history and style.

    Original Text

On the way from the Basho statue and Sanzan Sanku Monument to the Sanjinaisaiden on Mt. Haguro, the bell tower and the large bell of Kenji are not to be missed. The bell tower was rebuilt in 1618 by the donation of Ienobu Mogami with a kiritsuma-zukuri thatched roof and is the oldest building after the national treasure five-storied pagoda in Yamauchi. I feel history. The big bell is an old and large bell after Todaiji Temple and Kongohoji Temple, which has the inscription of the first year of Kenji (1275). The big bell, which appeared in the coming year of NHK, was more beautiful and more dignified when I looked by my side. In front of the bell tower, the Tower of World Peace is ...
