A former cathedral

A former Italian cathedral, it was converted into a mosque shortly after Caddafi became the ruler (who, btw, expelled the Italians). The building was modified. It's quite nice.

I was informed this mosque was previously a christian church and dome, but dominated the skyline too much and was therefor converted into a muslim mosque.
