A quiet street of old Samurai's houses, Ishibiya, Okayama
Winter visit is recommended since you experience the quietness and the elegant rusticity. The arranged flowers at the gates really matches the atmosphere of Samurai town.

On the south side of Mt. Woshi, the castle town of Bicchu Matsuyama Castle extends. After leaving Matsuyama Castle, we entered a narrow road in the city of Takahashi. I was aiming for Ishihiya Town, where samurai residences are lined up. There was also a free parking lot along the street. Ishihiya Town, a samurai town, is still lined with samurai residences along the street, and the town division of the castle town remained as it was. There is a samurai residence called the old Orai family, which is paid, but the interior is also open to the public. ...
I came down from Mt. Gashi, where Bicchu Matsuyama Castle is built, to the city of Takahashi. Ishihiya Town is the entrance to the city. Ishihiya Town in the Edo period was a samurai town, and the samurai residence with a prestigious gate was still lined up across 250m. On both sides of the street, there were white walls of Nagaya gates and clay walls, forming a quaint townscape.
I walked down the street of the samurai residence.

Ishihiyacho Furusato Village seems to refer to the combination of the street of the samurai residence and the Bikan Historical Quarter. The street of the samurai residence has a route to Bicchu Matsuyama Castle and a high school, so there are many students in the morning. The mansion itself is just a few, but the cherry blossoms growing from the mansion give color. If there are few people, you can walk comfortably.
When I walked to Bicchu Matsuyama Castle, I passed through my hometown village on the way. Among them was an old house used as the home of Tora-san's brother-in-law Hiroshi. Even if I saw it, I didn't feel nostalgic because I was a child, but it was a private house worth looking at with a deep taste.
