雨田In 1944, the murder site/memorial wall of German general Stauffenberg who attempted to assassinate Hitler was assassinated. He was a staunch follower of Hitler who believed that only Hitler could save Germany, but ultimately saw his evil nature and chose to kill Hitler. The day after the failure of the operation, he was shot here for treason. Today he is recognized by Germans as the greatest patriotic hero. Figure 7-9 is a picture I took in June of this year. It was taken at the attempted assassination of Hitler (the military headquarters of Hitler, code-named Wolf Cave, which was divided into Poland after World War II in East Prussia). So the story is complete.
