The Old Smiddy Blacksmiths and Craft Shop, Strachur, near Invaray
Very interesting to see the restored original working smithy, and chat with the lovely people there. Well worth a trip when in the Invarary area. Open Saturdays and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.
A very special traditional working museum
This is a wonderful museum- The old Smiddy still works, and you can observe the blacksmith as he explains what he is doing and why. The small shop has beautiful tasteful crafts.

Loved this! Really enjoyed talking to the volunteers and hearing the history. Took me back to my apprentice welder days in a smell welding shop that had been a smiddy. The videos were very good.
