The attraction near Stavanger Sverd i fjell The Sword of Rock is located in Hafrsfjord Havos Fjord. It is really magnificent to take a bus from Stavanger City and then walk here. Highlights: Three huge Viking bronze swords of more than ten meters high inserted into the rock and erected on the beach, which is very spectacular! The sculpture was completed in 1983 and unveiled by the King of Norway. The sculpture commemorates the Battle of Hafrsfjord, with three swords representing peace, unity and freedom.
