Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Indianapolis The most famous is Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which hosts the Indy500 event. In order to come here to play and not too tired, I still stayed nearby for one night. Driving here, the venue is quite large, the door is building the road, it is easy to miss, during the period, I asked two passers-by, but I was very polite to show me the way. To the racing museum, you have to drive from a tunnel, but you have actually entered the inside of the racing venue. Parking is free. The museum ticket is 10 knives, and a circuit is added to explain a total of 20 knives per person. Explaining the old uncle is very interesting, the track down to take pictures and watch, it is worth it, the sun is so powerful! There are many racing displays in the museum, as well as Mario special exhibitions.

After breakfast, I went to the racing field. It happened to be a racing practice. The roar of the car was exciting and the feeling of being on the spot was unusual. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the most famous and influential racing field in the United States.

Such a let down. This was my 1st (and now only) Indy 500, it was a was a nightmare.. Getting to the damned race is a pain. Missed my flight because American Airlines service is trash (played musical chairs with my gate number, making me miss my flight). So missed Carb Day (no fault of the race track, but just a sample of the migraine this vacation was). No family or friends there, so flight + rideshare was the way to go (advise to those that the best way is to have either of those things there and make it a get together, flying solo is a slog). Didn't really care about the Parade. So here comes race day, and what a MESS. You'd expect an easy time getting there (proper traffic flow going to/from the track, possibly hotels nearby and rideshare spots within walking distance), you are greeted by a CLUS-TER-F#@K of; neighborhood 2-lane roads, grid-locked traffic for MILES, and people corralling around trying to get to the track, it was a madhouse. So again, 1st time there, I chose to rideshare. I was lucky to have someone willing to drop me off a 1/2 mile out and had to pay $140 for a ride out. Why? Because I found out that the City of Indy decided to close off every other damned road leading to the track and made ridesharing a chore for both the person up/drop off people to the event and people using it (but great for Taxis it seemed. Also almost got stranded after the race BECAUSE of this). I arrive there, and it's worse than the lead up, no signage, went through the gates, had to get my Bronze Badge, it was in the Museum. Thought you could go from INSIDE the gates, nope, got to exit back OUTSIDE (and fight through the crowds of people in the lines I just came in from) to wall all the way around to get the badge. No Exit side route, the stamp PROVING you are good is worthless (had to go back through the gates). The racing was the only shining part of the mess. Real bummer, grew up on this race, and it's like "never meeting your heroes" sort of thing.

Indianapolis Racecourse is the famous venue for the event. The car is a domestic kart similar to the car, first held in 1909. It has a considerable historical significance in American culture.
