From the instruction manual that was nearby, it is a white lighthouse built in 1897. It is not currently used, but it was relocated and preserved in the Showa period.

It is a small lighthouse in Hiwayama Park, which is close to Sakata Port. It is a little up the hill from the harbor. You can go nearby, but by the way you can't go inside.

現存する最古の木造灯台だそうです!(^^)!
　木造六角灯台は、1895(明治28)年に建てられたそうです。当日は、雨模様だったので、日和山公園の展望所から眺めました。その古風な容姿に歴史を感じます。とてもフォトジェニックな容姿です。夕陽をバックに見ることができれば最高だと思いました。
