Independence Square

Plaza de la Independencia基多市的中央广场，不算很大，也不是空荡荡、一眼望尽那种，而是一个公园，中间有一个独立英雄纪念碑，周围有很多树木和长櫈，很多本地人在休闲坐著。它的一边是Palacio de Carondelet。厄瓜多尔独立以来的总统都在这里办公，广场另一边是Catedral Metropolitana de Quito是厄瓜多尔的主教座堂。

基多的独立广场，是一座非常老的，有着300多年历史的广场，坐落于小面包山下。中间是胜利女神的雕像，有的欧洲广场的特点。广场的四周都是数百年的老建筑，商业非常的发达，是基多当之无愧的商业中心。

独立广场四周都是老建筑，对面是总统府，周围教堂多。都是西班牙式老建筑。免费参观，有很多人在这里休闲。半小时游览足够。

基多成的独立广场是这座老城的中心广场，它位于著名的小面包山山下，广场的中央树立着自由女神像，十分的高大神圣。广场的周围种满着四季盛开的鲜花，将这里装扮的分外的美丽，同时这里也是基多的商业中心，广场的周围开满着各种商场和餐厅十分的热闹。

Independence Square is the soul of Quito. Although it is not big, it is very beautiful. In the middle is the Monument of Independence Goddess. The square is surrounded by plants and trees. Flowers are blooming all the year round. It is encountering purple sunflowers, amazing purple red and emerald green trees, as well as the blue sky. It creates a perfect picture, which is pleasing to the eye.

厄瓜多尔的首都基多是厄瓜多尔的经济和文化中心。这座城市在1979年被联合国教科文组织评选为世界自然与文化双遗产。独立广场这里是基多的中心地带。站在这里可以远眺附近的美景。十分壮观。

Quito's Independence Square is located in front of the presidential palace. It is the most important and central square in Quito's old city. In the middle of the square stands the Monument to the Independent Heroes, tall and lofty. There are many excellent restaurants around the square. Every afternoon and evening, it becomes very busy. It is very popular with tourists and local people.
