Wat Khao Chong Krachok

Khao Chong Krachok is a small mountain. That is famous as the symbol of Prachuap City, located in Ao Noi Subdistrict, Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan District Prachuap Bay area With an altitude of about 245 meters, Khao Chong Kaew is part of Wat Thammikaram. On the top of the mountain enshrines a replica of the Buddha's footprint. There is also a chedi containing the Buddha's relics.

Before going up Khao Chong Krachok Stop by to pay respect to the Buddha image in Wat Thammi first and be careful of the monkeys.

Situated on a hill at the northern end of Prachuap Khiri Khan, this feral macaque infested hilltop wat offers great views.

Khao Chong Krachok is good place for hiking eventhough you stairs. However, we couldn't reach the top of the hill due to numerous agressive monkeys. A few years ago, it was possible to climb to the top and monkeys.
