Lovely experience
We went here more as a 'dutiful' visit whilst we were visiting the town but were given a wonderful personal tour by Antonio who maintains a lovely sense of enthusiasm and wonder even after having work...
this museum has a huge collection courtesy of two ex convents in portalegre but it was the energy and knowledge of the guide that made this tour all the more special and an eye opener.
Shown round by passionate curator. Some stunning pieces from the seven convents in the region ranging from Baroque to Naïve Folk to Goan. Well wortha visit.
