    An interesting renaissance cathedral that is located in the central town square. There is also a sort of dungeon with a maze. The main landmark in Pienza.

    15th century Renaissance and Gothic Cathedral built for Pope Pius II who was born in Pienza. Not that spectacular.

    Construction of this Cathedral commenced in 1459 and was commissioned by Pope Pius !!, shortly after he became Pope, and was designed by Bernado Rossellino who also designed the surrounding buildings....
