Wat Maheyong

The Mahayon Temple was built during the reign of Baorama Racha II. Part of the building has been damaged, the stone carvings on the main tower and the shape of the giant bell show that it is in line with the early architectural style of Sukhothai. At the same time, the huge stupa is surrounded by carved elephant stone carvings that are now mottled. The other pagodas here have more or less shadows of Sukhothai period architecture.
