Perhaps there are more materials related to Fumiko Hayashi than in Tokyo, and the sea of Onomichi seen from the garden is a superb view. Also, the curators are very knowledgeable about literature and are very kind.
It is very close to Naoya Shiga's former residence. You can enter with an admission ticket common to the former residence. Just because the mansion of the shipbuilding company executive has been diverted, the location and building convey the atmosphere of the good old days. The exhibits are mainly related to Fumiko Hayashi and even a large photograph of the inspection.
This "Literary Memorial Room" is an old building that is also a national registered cultural property, and materials such as Fumiko Hayashi were exhibited. Also, from the garden, you can see the ships going back and forth between the Straits, and the view was good.
If you walk up to visit Senkoji Temple, this memorial room is waiting. Before arriving here, there is a literary park, Naoya Shiga's old house, and a stone monument of a writer related to it. It is a area where things like the depth of Onomichi, a town of literature, are condensed. Fumiko Hayashi's study is reproduced in the room, and I felt that a masterpiece was born from such a place along with the scenery seen from the window.
Materials by Fumiko Hayashi, who represents Onomichi, are on display. Near this area, there is also the former residence of Naoya Shiga, and the area around here is a literary area. It is located on a hill, and from here you can see the Onomichi Ohashi bridge beautifully. Please do your best to climb.
